MOTOR CITY CRUISE VS GRAND RAPIDS GOLD – POSTGAME INFORMATION

GOLD LOSES LEAD AND SUCCUMBS TO CRUISE 106-96 

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (Nov. 10, 2022) – Motor City Cruise (1-3) topped the Gold (0-3) in a 106-96 win after an intense fourth quarter. The Gold led by as much as 20 in the first half but suffered from shooting woes in the third quarter making room for Motor City to go on a 16-0 run to take the lead for the first time in the fourth. Motor City closed the fourth shooting 52% (13-25) from the field compared to 38.1% (8-21) for the Gold. 

Braxton Key was a bright spot for Motor City with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 3 steals. Jules Bernard followed up with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Other Motor City Cruise players in double digits were Jaylen Johnson (18 pts, 11 rebs), Trayvon Palmer (13 pts, 5 rebs, 2 assists) and RJ Nembhard Jr. (12 pts, 3 rebs, 2 assists). 

Peyton Watson led the Gold with a game-high 32 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Norris Cole added 11 points, 5 assists and 3 steals. Kellan Grady contributed 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Chasson Randle tallied 10 points and 3 rebounds.
