MOTOR CITY CRUISE ACQUIRE RETURNING PLAYER RIGHTS TO MICAH POTTER FROM SIOUX FALLS SKYFORCE IN EXCHANGE FOR RETURNING PLAYERS RIGHTS TO CHEICK DIALLO

DETROIT – The Motor City Cruise have acquired returning players rights to Micah Potter and a second-round pick in the 2023 G League Draft from the Sioux Falls Skyforce in exchange for returning player rights to Cheick Diallo and a first- round pick in the 2023 G League Draft.

              Potter, 6-10, 248, undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, made his NBA debut during the 2021-22 season with the Detroit Pistons. In 3 games with Detroit, Potter posted averages of 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.3 blocks in 10.3 minutes per game. Potter also spent time with Miami’s G League affiliate, Sioux Falls, during the 2021-22 season where he averaged 14.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 blocks in 26.3 minutes per game over a span of 11 games (all starts).

              As a collegian, Potter spent his first two years at Ohio State where he appeared in 59 games (16 starts) and posted clips of 4.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.4 blocks in 12.1 minutes per game. Potter spent his final two years in college with the University of Wisconsin and held averages of 11.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.8 blocks in 20.3 minutes per game over a span of 52 games (23 starts). Prior to college, Potter attended Montverde Academy where he was named Team MVP and Beachball Classic MVP in 2016.

              Diallo, 6-8, 219, appeared in 32 games (16 starts, Showcase Cup and regular season) in his lone season with the Cruise, posting averages of 14.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.3 blocks in 22.5 minutes per game. Diallo recorded a team-high 25 double-doubles during the 2021-22 season (Showcase Cup, regular season, and playoffs), including three games with at least 20 points and 15 rebounds.
