MOTOR CITY CRUISE ACQUIRE NATHAN KNIGHT VIA TRADE

DETROIT – The Motor City Cruise, NBA G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced today they acquired Nathan Knight from the Maine Celtics in exchange for a 2024 first round draft pick. In a related move, the Cruise have waived Yor Anei.

Knight (6’8”, 253 lbs.), currently in his second NBA G League season, has started 12 games with averages of 9.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.0 minutes per game.

The three-year NBA veteran has played under a two-way contract with both the Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves. In 108 career NBA games, the Syracuse native holds career averages of 3.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 7.7 minutes per game. Knight has also played eight games during the NBA postseason, averaging 0.8 points and 0.9 rebounds in 2.3 minutes per game.

Knight graduated from William and Mary where he averaged 17.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 26.6 minutes per game in 125 career games.

The Cruise will look to get back in the win column tonight at 6:00p.m. ET. Looking to keep their showcase tournament hopes alive, Motor City will take on the Windy City Bulls in Hoffman Estates, Illinois at NOW Arena.
