Morgan Named to C-USA All-Academic Team

DALLAS (Dec. 5, 2019) – FIU’s James Morgan was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team following his success in the classroom, the league office announced on Thursday.

Morgan was just one of 11 student-athletes named to the team, with only 10 C-USA football programs earning an honoree.

Morgan was deemed a 2019 William V. Campbell Trophy Semifinalist for his academic accomplishments, polishing off a 3.77 GPA while earning his master’s in public administration. The Panther QB is just four touchdown passes shy of tying FIU’s career mark, while his three interceptions this season rank as the second-lowest in the conference.
