Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts –Nov. 14, 2020 at 10:10 a.m.

Gates Open Nov. 11 at 6 a.m.

Gates open for the rescheduled 68th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 6 a.m. After an eight-month delay, IMSA and Sebring International Raceway will present six races over a four-day period and once again fans are being welcomed back to the Birthplace of American Endurance Racing.

Make no mistake, things will be different in 2020 versus previous events at Sebring and our management team, competitors and fellow spectators thank everyone in advance for their cooperation, patience and respect of all attendees.

Mask Usage and Safety Protocols While on Property

For everyone’s safety, all guests are required to wear proper face coverings when arriving on property each day. All guests, including hospitality patrons, must enter through Gate 1 which is the main spectator gate located closest to Hotel Seven. Competitors and other guests on IMSA’s essential personnel list, must enter through Gate 4 and submit to IMSA daily screening.
Once inside the facility, guests socializing in their own groups, at their parking or camping locations, are not required to wear face coverings or masks. However, when groups merge or you leave the confines of your own location, masks are required. This includes viewing mounds, concession areas, Vendor Village, restrooms and other common areas of the property.
While we recognize there are many different opinions of mask usage, our hope is to make everyone feel as comfortable and welcome as possible while visiting Sebring International Raceway and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Vendor Village and Fan Zone

The Vendor Village located on the Midway will house all food, beverage and retail sales. Many of your favorite auto manufacturers will be on display in the Fan Zone, however, most will be conducting business differently in this hands-off environment. Expect static displays of vehicles and other offerings, but not the ability to sit in vehicles or take test drives with manufacturer representatives. All vendors and their representatives will wear face masks and it is expected that all guest will also when interacting in the Fan Zone or Vendor Village.

Chevrolet
Hyundai
Acura
Michelin
Mobil 1
Lexus

Buy Souvenir Program, Get March’s Program, Too

The official race program has been updated to reflect the new race date of Nov. 11-14. It features many great articles and information with updated IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Series season results and features on Grand Marshal Mario Andretti and his 1970 victory. Packaged with the updated program will be a copy of the original race program that was printed for the March race. Visit the Sebring Lions Club in Vendor Village to buy your official race program(s)!

Follow the Race on your Radio or TV

There are multiple ways to follow all the action live. Tune your radio to WWOJ 99.1 FM, or the Raceway’s FM signal 100.7. The entire race will be broadcast live, starting and finishing on NBCSN with NBC network providing coverage in the middle of the race from 3-6 p.m.

Early Arriving Fans

Due to health advisory restrictions, pre-event RV staging will be permitted no earlier than Tuesday, Nov. 10 at noon. The staging area is located off of Carroll Shelby Road. Follow signs to pre-staging and you will be parked in the order you arrive. Gates will open at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 and vehicles will be admitted in order from the pre-staging lot. All guests arriving Wednesday morning while the load-in process is underway will be directed to the rear of the line and will enter in the order they arrived.

Tickets and Pass Outs

Tickets will be sold at the gate until pre-determined limits are reached. Guests with tickets and pass out wristbands will be permitted to enter at any time; however, tickets only will be sold from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Tickets will be sold around the clock beginning Friday, or until capacity is reached.

A Few Surprises For Guests Arriving Wednesday

Guests arriving Wednesday, Nov. 11 will be handed a guest guide with four coupons inside. These coupons can be redeemed for a free poster, a free Yuengling beer, a free Little Caesars pizza and Pepsi and a free six-pack of Pepsi. Also on Wednesday – at 12:30 p.m. – all fans on property will have an opportunity to walk the entire 3.74-mile track and get an up-close look at the bumps that make the Sebring circuit famous. This fan walk will be led by former drivers and media personalities Justin Bell and Tommy Kendall.

Club Sebring, Gurney Terrace and Celebrity Cruises Luxury Lounge Parking

In previous years, all parking for Club Sebring and Gurney Terrace have been in Ulmann Parking located on the outside of the track between Turns 16 and 17. One advantage the postponement has created is the ability for all Club Sebring and Gurney Terrace guests to park in the Alan Jay Paddock, and for all attendees to the Celebrity Cruises Luxury Lounge to park next to the lounge in Turn 1 at the end of the Midway. While tickets to these areas from March are still valid, guests will need to visit the Raceway’s Registration office upon arrival for a new parking pass. One parking pass per order will be provided. If you ordered more tickets than a traditional vehicle will accommodate, additional passes may be available. If you paid for a paddock parking upgrade, you will be refunded the full price paid.

The Raceway Registration office is located on the outside of the Administration building – on the right as you are facing the building. Enter Gate 2 and park in Registration parking.

2021 Mobil 1 Twelve Hour Tickets Go on Sale Dec. 14

Renewals for reserved parking and fan hospitality packages, including Club Sebring and the Celebrity Cruises Luxury Lounge, will be available Nov. 16-Dec. 11. On Dec. 14, all available tickets and fan hospitality will be available online to the public. While we all hope that full operations will return for the 2021 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, the manner in which we operate events in November as well as the continued improvement of public health conditions will ultimately determine our ability to return to normal.Corvette and Porsche Car Corrals
The same great exclusive parking and viewing areas, including grandstand seating and tent space outside of Turn 17, will be home to both Porsche and Corvette corrals. While in years past fans with a Porsche key fob or PCA Membership Card have been provided access to the Porsche corral, in November only guests with tickets to the Corvette or Porsche corrals will be permitted access.  Although Covid-19 precautions have caused both Porsche and Chevrolet to forgo direct corporate involvement in the corrals for 2020, Sebring International Raceway will continue to provide exclusive trackside parking and grandstand seating for corral ticket holders and parade laps for the first 100 cars registered. Open-air tents with daily beverage service, a catered lunch on Saturday, grandstands and television feeds will be provided.

Get Out and Walk

Unlike the Cadillac Grand Prix of Sebring in July, all guests will be free to roam between Green Park and the Midway, provided they are wearing face coverings. While trams will not be operated, guests can freely access viewing mounds, the Midway, Vendor Village and the Fan Zone.  The competitor paddock will be open only to competitors and IMSA officials.
50 Years Later…The 1970 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring is considered by many to be the greatest 12-Hour race ever contested at Sebring International Raceway. Mario Andretti started the race in the No. 19 works Ferrari 512S Spyder from the pole position. He and teammate Arturo Merzario, a Formula 1 driver from Italy, dominated most of the race and built a multi-lap lead over the field. However, with Andretti behind the wheel, the No. 19 Ferrari experienced gearbox problems. One other factory Ferrari was still on track, and the difficult decision was made by the Ferrari team boss to put the experienced Andretti in the team car No. 21 Ferrari with the hopes he could chase down leaders Peter Revson and Steve McQueen in the No. 48 Porsche 908. Andretti did just that, unlapping himself and setting a torrid pace in the Ferrari, capturing the 20th annual race.
Andretti will return to Sebring on Saturday as the Grand Marshal of the great race 50 years after his amazing drive. The Formula 1, Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500 and Sebring champion will give the ceremonial command to start engines and will also greet all Sebring fans with a lap of the circuit before the start. We encourage everyone to enthusiastically welcome Mario back to the site of one of his most famous victories.

A New Event for November 2021

For the first time in its history, Sebring International Raceway will host a 24-hour sports car endurance race. Sebring has partnered with CREVENTIC, an international sports car racing series headquartered in the Netherlands, to promote the twice-around-the-clock race Nov. 12-14. The race will close the season for CREVENTIC, which will also visit well-known circuits in Europe and the Middle East in 2021.
The 2021 24H Series Powered by Hankook season opener will again be held at the Dubai Autodrome in the United Arab Emirates as it has since the series was founded in 2006. The January 14-16 event in the Middle East will mark the beginning of the season and the 24-Hour punishing race at Sebring will close the season. Tickets, parking, camping, sponsorship and vendor opportunities will be announced soon.Note – These plans are subject to change based on conditions.
