Michigan State-PR release

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Big Ten Conference announced start times for the first week of the 2020 football season on Monday. Michigan State will open at 12 p.m. ET. on Saturday, Oct. 24 vs. Rutgers in Spartan Stadium; the game will be televised on BTN. It will mark Mel Tucker‘s debut as head coach of the Spartans. 

Please note: As previously announced by the Big Ten Conference on Sept. 16, fans will not be allowed in attendance this season, with a possible exception of student-athlete or staff family members. In addition, tailgating will not be permitted on the Michigan State campus.

In addition to TV coverage, radio broadcasts of all games will be available on the statewide TCF Bank Spartan Media Network; on Michigan State’s official athletic website, msuspartans.com; and on the official Michigan State Athletics app.
Episode four of the Mel Tucker Show, presented by Auto Owners Insurance, is set for Thursday, Oct. 15 on the statewide TCF Bank Spartan Media Network. Hosted by longtime Spartan football play-by-play announcer George Blaha, a member of the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame. The show runs from 7-8 p.m. ET.

The Mel Tucker Show can be heard statewide on the TCF Bank Spartan Media Network, including flagship stations WJR 760-AM (Detroit) and WJIM 1240-AM and 94.9 WMMQ-FM (Lansing).

The Mel Tucker Show will continue every Thursday from 7-8 p.m. until the end of the regular season. The first Mel Tucker Show was held on Sept. 3.
