MIAMI – The Miami Marlins and Miami Marlins Foundation are teaming with Tampa Electric Company (TECO) for the Home Plate Meals Holiday Food Distribution to provide more than Miami-Dade County families with meals for the holidays. Outreach for this special event has gone through local community organizations that focus on family services and local schools. The drive-through food distribution will be on a first come first served basis.
This year, the event will take place on Monday, December 18, beginning at 9 a.m. Volunteers from the Miami Marlins, Tampa Electric Company, and Feeding South Florida will be on site to distribute meal boxes as they work to make a Marlins Impact this holiday season.

The Marlins will also host holiday food distributions in the Dominican Republic for the fourth consecutive year, providing meals to over 800 families. On Monday, December 19, the Marlins will host a distribution at the club’s Academy in the Dominican Republic, distributing food to 200 families.
