Miami Marlins Jazz Chisholm Jr. Joins MLB Network As Guest Analyst This Week

October 11, 2022 – MLB Network today announced that Miami Marlins All-Star infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. will join as an on-air guest analyst this week for its Division Series studio coverage, beginning tonight, October 11. Chisholm Jr. will appear on MLB Central presented by Best Western and the Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight presented by Evan Williams Bourbon as follows:

  • Tuesday, October 11: MLB Tonight with Greg AmsingerSean Casey and Harold Reynolds following Game 1 of the ALDS featuring the Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees, starting at 7:37 p.m. ET;
  • Wednesday, October 12: MLB Tonight alongside Matt Vasgersian and Yonder Alonso following Game 2 of the NLDS featuring the Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves, starting at 4:35 p.m. ET;
  • Thursday, October 13: MLB Central with Robert FloresLauren Shehadi and Mark DeRosa at 9:00 a.m. ET and MLB Tonight alongside Stephen NelsonDan O’Dowd and Xavier Scruggs at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Chisholm Jr., who was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks as an amateur free agent before being traded to the Marlins in July 2019, debuted in September 2020 and has since produced a 5.0 WAR over three seasons with 178 hits, 117 runs scored, 104 RBI, 37 stolen bases, 34 home runs, 31 doubles, and nine triples across 205 career games. The 24-year-old had a breakout first half in 2022, with 45 RBI, 14 home runs, 12 stolen bases, 10 doubles and four triples with a .860 OPS across 60 games, earning him a trip to the Midsummer Classic in Los Angeles. Chisholm Jr. did not play during the second half of the 2022 season due to a back injury, but is expected to be ready for Spring Training in 2023.
