DOLPHINS WIN AT NEW ENGLAND FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2008
• This is Miami’s first win at New England since “The Wildcat Game” on Sept. 21, 2008.
• The Dolphins finished the 2019 season winning five of their final nine games.
• Miami won back-to-back games for the second time this season after they also posted wins in Weeks 9 and 10 vs.
the N.Y. Jets and at Indianapolis.
• This is just the fourth time Miami has won at New England in the month of December and their first since Dec. 24,
2000.
• It’s the first win by an AFC East team at New England since Oct. 2, 2016 when Buffalo beat the Patriots 16-0.
• This is the first time the Dolphins have ever won a game in New England where Tom Brady led his team in pass
attempts.
• Miami’s 389 total yards were the most allowed by New England since Dec. 9, 2018 at Miami (412) and the most
they’ve allowed in a home game since Oct. 14, 2018 vs. Kansas City (446).
• The Dolphins’ 326 net passing yards today were the most allowed by New England since Oct. 14, 2018 (446) – a
span of 30 games (including playoffs).
GESICKI CATCHES 5-YARD TOUCHDOWN FOR GAME-WINNER
• TE Mike Gesicki caught a 5-yard touchdown pass with 24 seconds remaining to give the Dolphins the 27-24 victory. It was his fifth touchdown reception in his past six games.
• The score was the 20th touchdown pass of the season for QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, making this the fifth different season and third different team that Fitzpatrick has had a 20-touchdown season.
• The touchdown capped off a 13-play, 75-yard drive. It was the 17th game-winning drive of Fitzpatrick’s career and his fourth in the past eight games.
• Facing a four-point deficit with less than four minutes remaining, Fitzpatrick posted the 12th fourth-quarter comeback of his career and third this season.
• Gesicki finishes the season with 51 receptions for 570 yards (11.2 avg.) and five touchdowns. All rank second on the team this year.
• Gesicki’s 570 receiving yards are 12th-most by a tight end in team history while his 51 receptions rank eighth and his five touchdown receptions are tied for sixth.
• Since returning from the team’s bye in Week 6, Gesicki had 45 receptions for 519 yards (11.5 avg.) and five touchdowns. As of the end of the 1 p.m. games during that span, his 519 receiving yards are ninth among NFL tight ends while his 45 receptions rank eighth and his five receiving touchdowns are tied for fourth.
PARKER BECOMES FIRST DOLPHIN TO POST 1,200 YARDS SINCE 2011
• WR DeVante Parker caught eight passes for 137 yards (17.1 avg.) today. It was his fourth 100-yard receiving game in Miami’s last seven contests.
• Parker finished the season with 72 receptions for 1,202 yards (16.7 avg.) and nine touchdowns. He became the fifth player in Dolphins history to record 1,200 receiving yards in a season and the first since Brandon Marshall had 1,214 receiving yards in 2011.
• Parker’s 1,202 receiving yards are sixth-most in a single season in Dolphins history.
• Parker becomes the fifth player in Dolphins history to total 100-plus receiving yards in four games within a seven
game span. Mark Clayton (1984-85), Mark Duper (1986), Irving Fryar (1994-95) and Brandon Marshall (2010-11)
also accomplished the feat.
• At the end of the 1 p.m. games, Parker’s 1,202 receiving yards were fifth in the league this season while his eight
receiving touchdowns were tied for ninth.
• Since returning from the bye in Week 6, Parker totaled 62 receptions for 1,001 yards (16.1 avg.) and eight
touchdowns. At the end of the 1 p.m. games during that span, his 1,001 receiving yards ranked third in the NFL,
while his 62 receptions were ninth and his eight receiving touchdowns were tied for the league lead.
• The 137 receiving yards are the most allowed by the Patriots in a game since Kansas City’s Tyreek Hill had 142
receiving yards on Oct. 14, 2018.
• Parker had 111 receiving yards last week vs. Cincinnati. Today marks the first time a Dolphins player has recorded
back-to-back 100-yard receiving games since Jarvis Landry on Dec. 11, 2016 vs. Arizona and Dec. 17, 2016 at the
N.Y. Jets.
• Parker now has eight 100-yard receiving games in his career, with four of them coming this season. His four 100-yard
games in the same season are tied for seventh-most in team history and the most since Landry also had four in 2016.
FITZPATRICK PASSES FOR 320 YARDS IN THE WIN
• QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 320 yards on 28-of-41 passes (68.3 pct.) this afternoon. It was his fourth 300-yard game of the season and his fourth in the past seven games.
• Fitzpatrick had a career-high 419 passing yards last week vs. Cincinnati. It marks the first time a Dolphins quarterback has thrown for 300-plus yards in consecutive games since Ryan Tannehill threw for 389 at New England on Sept. 18, 2016 and 319 vs. Cleveland on Sept. 25, 2016.
• Fitzpatrick finished the season with 3,529 passing yards. It’s the third-most in his 15-year NFL career and ranks 16th in Dolphins single-season history. It’s the most passing yards by a Dolphins quarterback since Tannehill threw for 4,208 in 2015.
• Today marks the 21st 300-yard game of Fitzpatrick’s career.
• Fitzpatrick finished the season with seven consecutive games with 200-plus passing yards. The last time a Dolphins
quarterback had seven straight games with 200-plus passing yards was Tannehill, who had 200-plus passing yards in
12 consecutive games from Nov. 2, 2014 through Sept. 27, 2015.
• Fitzpatrick also scored on a 2-yard run in the third quarter. It was the fourth rushing touchdown of the season for
Fitzpatrick, which ties the single-season record by a Dolphins quarterback. David Woodley (1981), Jay Fielder (2001) and Cleo Lemon (2007) also rushed for four touchdowns in a season.


DOLPHINS HOLD FOURTH STRAIGHT OPPONENT SCORELESS IN FIRST QUARTER
• Miami led the Patriots 3-0 at the end of the first quarter. It marked the fourth consecutive game the team has held its opponent scoreless through the first quarter.
• The Dolphins last allowed a first-quarter point with 10:15 remaining in the first frame vs. Philadelphia in Week 13. ROWE PICK-SIX GIVES DOLPHINS 10-0 LEAD
• CB Eric Rowe intercepted Patriots QB Tom Brady in the second quarter, returning it 35 yards for a touchdown. It was the first pick-six of Rowe’s career.
• The interception was the first pick-six thrown by Brady since Dec. 24, 2017 vs. Buffalo. It was just the 15th pick-six thrown by Brady in his career (including playoffs) and only his fifth at Gillette Stadium.
• For Rowe, it was his first interception since Jan. 22, 2017 when he had an interception in the AFC Championship game vs. Pittsburgh as a member of the Patriots.
• It was Miami’s first defensive touchdown since S Reshad Jones had an interception for a touchdown on Dec. 30, 2018 at Buffalo.
DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS
• LB Trent Harris brought down Patriots QB Tom Brady for a loss of 4 yards on a second-down snap in the fourth quarter. It was the first sack of Harris’ career and led to an eventual Patriots punt.
• LB Jerome Baker once again led the team with nine tackles (six solo). His 125 tackles (75 solo) for the season led the team and were 13th in the NFL at the end of the 1 p.m. games.
• DT Davon Godchaux had four more tackles today, giving him 75 for the season (33 solo). Godchaux finished second among NFL defensive tackles in the statistic and his 75 stops are the most by a Dolphins defensive lineman since at least 2000.
• DT Christian Wilkins had two more tackles (one solo) today, giving him 55 (29 solo) for the season. He finishes the year with the most tackles by a rookie defensive lineman in the league.
