Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have waived tackle Jarrett Horst, offensive lineman Alex Jensen and offensive lineman DJ Scaife.

Horst was signed by Miami on May 12, 2023 as an undrafted college free agent. He was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection in 2021 after starting eight games at left tackle for Michigan State. Horst started seven more contests at left tackle in 2022. He also played two seasons (2019-20) at Arkansas State and began his collegiate career at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa.

Jensen was signed as an undrafted college free agent by Miami on May 12, 2023. He was a second-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honoree for South Dakota who started 10 games at left tackle as a senior in 2022. Jensen also earned second-team All-MVFC honors in 2021 and honorable mention All-MVFC recognition in 2020. He began his career as a tight end before transitioning to offensive line in 2019. During his collegiate career, he appeared in 49 games with 38 starts at left tackle.

Scaife joined the Dolphins on May 12, 2023 as an undrafted college free agent. He lettered five seasons (2018-22) at Miami, where he played in 61 games with 52 starts, primarily at right guard and right tackle. Scaife earned second-team All-ACC honors in 2021 and honorable mention All-ACC recognition in 2022. He is a Miami native and played at Miami Southridge High School.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed tackle Cedric Ogbuehi and tackle Isaiah Wynn.

Ogbuehi has played eight NFL seasons for five different franchises, spending time with Cincinnati (2015-18), Jacksonville (2019), Seattle (2020-21), Baltimore (2021) and the N.Y. Jets (2022). He’s appeared in 67 career games with 35 starts – 21 at right tackle and 14 at left tackle – and has played two postseason games. Ogbuehi was a first-round pick (21st overall) by Cincinnati in the 2015 NFL Draft after playing collegiately at Texas A&M.

Wynn was a first-round pick (23rd overall) by New England in the 2018 NFL Draft. He has played in 43 games with 40 starts in his five seasons (2018-22) with the Patriots. He was part of a New England team that won Super Bowl LIII. Wynn played collegiately at Georgia and is from St. Petersburg, Florida.

JAGUARS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed S Latavious Brini and WR Jacob Harris, the team announced today. Additionally, the team waived DL Jayson Ademilola.

Brini played in 43 collegiate games (30 at Georgia, 13 at Arkansas), making 21 starts from 2017-22. In 2022, Brini appeared in 13 games (nine starts) for the Razorbacks and totaled career highs in tackles (55) and tackles for loss (four), while adding two passes defensed and one interception. He played in 13 games (11 starts) with Georgia in 2021 and helped the Bulldogs win the 2022 College Football Playoff. Brini is originally from Miami Gardens, Fla. and attended Mater Academy Charter.

Harris attended Central Florida from 2018-20 and played in 36 games, catching 49 passes for 987 yards and nine TDs. In 2020, he recorded career highs in receptions (30), yards (539) and TDs (eight). He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth round (141st overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. Harris appeared in 16 games from 2021-22 with the Rams and caught one pass for 6 yards last season. Originally from Palm Harbor, Fla., he attended Palm Harbor University High School.
