MHSAA Press Release – Network Tops 100 Outlets For This Week In High School Sports

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Sept. 22 – For the fourth straight year, the award-winning MHSAA Network weekly radio show, This Week In High School Sports, will appear on over 100 radio stations and audio webcast outlets across the state as part of their weekly prep coverage.

The five-minute program leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half, or from network affiliated stories and interviews.  This Week Game Balls are then presented for team or individual achievements in the past week.  Be The Referee, a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show; and is followed by a closing feature or commentary.

This week’s program will feature a report on the debut of Sturgis High School football coach Chance Stewart and the Trojans’ last-minute victory over Three Rivers; pass out Game Balls to the Boys & Girls Cross Country teams at Leslie and a great Football game for Johannesburg-Lewiston’s Sheldon Huff; discusses a new rules change in Football; and concludes with a feature on soccer referee Alexus Little.

Carried on 104 outlets as of Sept. 22, This Week In High School Sports was honored back in March by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters as the best network radio show of 2019.

This Week In High School Sports is posted to the home page of the MHSAA Website by Noon on Tuesday each week; and is also available on the MHSAA Network Website.  You can listen to this week’s show by Clicking Here
