Men’s Swimming Wins Five Events in First Meet of 2020

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s men’s swimming team dove into 2020 on Saturday afternoon, claiming five event victories in a 153-89 defeat to Carson-Newman University at the McCusker Pool Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

·         Malek Masmoudi took first in a team-best two events, winning the 200-free (1:45.99) and a tight 500-free (4:47.57).

·         Ignacio Alvarez out-touched his opponents in the 100-breaststroke, finishing with a time of 59.92. Alvarez also took home the top spot in the 50-breaststroke with a mark of 27.34 seconds.

·         Aleksander Olejnik’s first-place finish in the 50-free (21.59) rounded out the list of Fighting Knights to top the podium.
