Men’s Swimming Takes First in Five Events in Home Meet versus Rollins

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s men’s swimming program continues to prove its promise early in its inaugural season, winning five events in a 164-95 dual defeat to Rollins College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

·         Malek Masmoudi continues to shine in his short time in Blue and White, taking first in the 200-fly (1:54.69), 500-free (4:46.78) and 200-IM (1:58.54).

·         Thomas Labarias also notched a first-place finish, touching the wall with a time of 53.90 in the 100-back.

·         Aleksander Olejnik joined his teammates on the podium, taking home the top-finish in the 100-free with a mark of 49.17.

BEYOND THE HEAT SHEET:

·         Masmoudi has now won four events through two duals this season.

·         Lynn’s 95 points and five event victories are both season-highs for the program in its inaugural campaign.

Lynn hosts its third-straight home meet on Saturday, Oct. 9, welcoming Florida Tech to Boca Raton for an 11 a.m. start time.
