Men’s Lacrosse: Westminster (Utah) College 14, Lynn University 11

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team fell to Westminster College in its home opener on Monday afternoon, 14-11.

STATS OF THE GAME:

·         Jalen Stanton scored six goals and had a team-high 16 shots.

·         Xander Cosenza posted five assists.

·         Caleb Wells added three goals.

·         Dryden Brous went 26-29 in the faceoff circle.

·         Lynn was outscored 9-1 in the second and third quarters combined.

·         Collin McClelland (1-1) took his first loss of the season, stopping nine shots.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

·         Stanton’s six goals are a season-high and tie the program-record for most goals in a game.

·         Cosenza’s five assists are a career-high and rank second all-time for the men’s program.

·         Brous’ 25 ground balls are second-most all-time.
