Men’s Basketball: Lynn 102, Embry-Riddle 99

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn men’s basketball went down to the wire against Embry-Riddle, but the Fighting Knights beat the Eagles for the second time this season, 102-99.

STATS OF THE GAME:

–          Brandon Bornelus scored a game-high 24 points in large part to knocking down five three pointers.

–          Christian Peevy scored 19 points and added six rebounds and six assists, both team highs.

–          Jordan Allen started hot and finished with 17 points.

–          Branden Ellis gave Lynn yet another player in double figures with his 13.

–          Darius Moore came off the bench and scored 12.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

–          As a team, Lynn made 14 three pointers, which is the most they have made in a single game this season.

–          They shot 52% for the game.

–          The two teams combined to make 27 triples and shot a combined 60.

–          The 102 points are the most scored by the Fighting Knights this season.

–          It’s the first-time this season anyone has scored over 100 points against the Eagles.

–          With a dunk and fast-break layup on consecutive possessions early in the first half, Allen surpassed the 1,000 point mark for his college career.
