BOCA RATON, Fla. — Florida Atlantic announced Thursday that its fourth annual Paradise Madness is set for Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. to officially begin men’s and women’s basketball season. Admission is free and doors to Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena will open at 6:30 p.m. Paradise Madness is sponsored by Phil Smith Kia/Phil Smith Acura.
Join the 2024-25 men’s and women’s basketball teams, along with first-year men’s head coach John Jakus and women’s head coach Jennifer Sullivan, as their squads are presented to the fans for the first time.
Paradise Madness begins at 7 p.m. with the introduction of both the men’s and women’s teams, along with remarks from Coach Jakus and Coach Sullivan. The night also includes a women’s basketball skills challenge, a men’s basketball dunk contest and a combined three-point shootout. We’ll cap the night with a men’s basketball scrimmage.
The night also includes performances from the Owls’ band, cheer and dance teams, along with a number of raffle prizes for students and fans, free t-shirts, and a chance to win a FREE scooter. The first 20 students in line get to play knockout on the Baldwin Arena court, with the winner being a judge for the dunk contest.
It is time to pack the Elly with great energy and excitement as the Owls Defend Paradise once again.
