Marshall-Appalachian State Game Moved to CBS

DALLAS – This Saturday’s football game between Marshall and No. 23 Appalachian State in Huntington, West Virginia has been moved back two hours to 3:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. CT and will now be carried live on the CBS Television Network.

The game was initially scheduled to air on CBS Sports Network at 1:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. CT.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our football program against a nationally-ranked opponent,” said Marshall Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick. “The increased national exposure that comes with the move to CBS will be great for our university, football program and our community.”

Marshall won its first game of the season by a 59-0 tally over Eastern Kentucky on September 5, while Appalachian State knocked off Charlotte, 35-20, in Boone, North Carolina last Saturday.  This will be the first meeting between the schools since 2002.
