M-GOLF | Southern Invite Serves as Final Spring Tune-Up

LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men’s golf will compete in the Southern Invitational beginning Monday at The Falls Club in nearby Lake Worth, Fla. This tournament will serve as the final spring event before the American Conference Championship begins on April 19.
The Lineup
The Owls will use the same five counting scores for the third consecutive event led by senior Max Sturdza. Sturdza is coming off a solo 5th at last week’s event in North Carolina – his fifth Top 5 of the season.
With the benefit of playing close to home, the Owls will use this week to get action for NaShawn TysonNicolas Cimadevilla, and Kaleb Palm. The trio will compete as individuals.Monday’s opening round will get underway with a shotgun start at 8:20 a.m. The second round will follow with the final round scheduled for Tuesday. The Owls will be paired with Towson and St. John’s on Monday.

The Course
The Falls Club of the Palm Beaches is a par 71 measuring out at 6.715 yards.
The Field
The field this week is slightly smaller than normal with eight teams and 48 individuals. At No. 122 in the official Clippd Division I rankings, the Owls are the highest ranked team in the field.
