Lynn's Jeanjean, Grib Garner Multiple ITA All-American Honors

Tempe, Ariz. – The final women’s tennis Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Rankings were released this week, with Lynn University’s Leolia Jeanjean and Ulyana Grib being named All-Americans in both singles and doubles.

ITA All-Americans are determined by the final Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis National Rankings. For singles, the student-athlete must finish in the top 20 while doubles pairs must have a top-10 rank at the completion of the season.

This is the first time since 2015 that the Fighting Knights have had multiple players earn All-America honors in both singles and doubles. Both players are claiming All-America accolades for the first time in their respective careers.

Jeanjean was also named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, All-SSC First Team Singles and Doubles, the ITA South Region Senior Player of the Year and the ITA National Senior Player of the Year. She claimed a league-best four SSC Player of the Week awards.

Grib also garnered All-SSC First Team plaudits in both singles and doubles this season.

In singles action, Jeanjean finishes the year as the No. 6 ranked player in Division II. She went undefeated with a 21-0 record, all at the top flight, and lost just one set the entire season. She took down all nine of her opponents who were nationally ranked.

Grib finishes as the No. 13 ranked singles player in the country. She tallied a 21-2 record throughout the season, primarily at the No. 2 flight, and was 7-1 in matches vs. nationally-ranked foes.

The duo team up to produce the No. 3 ranked doubles squad. The tandem was perfect as Lynn’s No. 1 doubles team, claiming a 16-0 record at the top flight. Half of their doubles victories came against nationally-ranked adversaries.

Overall this season, Jeanjean finishes with an undefeated 29-0 doubles record while Grib went 25-1. Jeanjean’s 29-0 mark breaks the single-season program record, previously held by Lynn Hall of Famer Alexandra Schunk, who went 27-1 in 2007. Jeanjean is also the first player in program history to go undefeated in doubles with 24 or more wins in a season.

The final team rankings were also released. The Blue and White fell one spot to No. 2 following a loss to Barry in the NCAA National Championship match.
