Lynn’s Baptista, Two Doubles Squads Enter Men’s Tennis National Rankings


Tempe, Ariz. 
– The first singles and doubles national rankings of the regular season were released by Oracle/ITA this week, featuring Lucca Baptista in the singles rankings and a pair of doubles tandems for the Lynn University men’s tennis squad.

The team rankings were also released, with the Fighting Knights dropping from No. 3 to No. 17, despite an 8-1 record on the season. Lynn’s only loss this year was a one-point setback on the road at then-No. 15 Flagler.

Barry (No. 1), Saint Leo (4), Palm Beach Atlantic (14) and Rollins (15) join Lynn from the Sunshine State Conference in the top 20.

Baptista enters the singles rankings at No. 63, boasting a 7-2 record on the season at the second flight.

With a 7-1 record at No. 1 doubles, Kay Bartmann and Florian Clemares debut in the doubles rankings at No. 31. Baptista and Jose Porfirio Ordonez come in at No. 43 with a 3-0 record together on the year.
