Lynn Women’s Tennis Leads Argos before Rain Rolls in

– Lynn University’s top-ranked women’s tennis team held an early 2-0 advantage over 22nd-ranked West Florida on Friday at a neutral site, but persistent rain in the area forced the match to be halted and canceled.

The Blue and White won two of the three doubles contests to garner the first point of the day. Ulyana Grib and Leaolia Jeanjean took the top flight, 6-3, while Eleonora Liga and Giorgia Pigato claimed the No. 3 match by the same score. The Argos grabbed a 7-5 victory at No. 2 doubles.

In singles, Liga posted her second triumph of the day, winning the No. 5 matchup, 6-3, 6-0. None of the other singles matches were completed in time as the match ended with the Lynn leading 2-0.

The match will not be continued or rescheduled.
