Lynn Women’s Soccer Earns a Point Against Florida Southern

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s soccer team battled in another typical, hard-fought Sunshine State Conference (SSC) match on Saturday evening, playing to a 0-0 draw with visiting Florida Southern.

STATS OF THE GAME:

·         Ariella Kaplan totaled a team-high three shots, including a left-footed strike which hit the underside of the crossbar in the second half.

·         Devan Malcolm stopped six shots between the pipes for the Blue and White, playing the full 110:00.

·         Bailey Brasse registered the Blue and White’s lone shot on target.

·         FSC outshot Lynn 10-1 in the opening half, but the Fighting Knights then found their offensive form, outshooting the Mocs 10-9 the rest of the way.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

·         Lynn is now unbeaten in its last three meetings with FSC, last suffering a setback on Oct. 30, 2016.

·         The Fighting Knights have now gone to overtime in each of their two SSC home tilts, drawing with Eckerd on Sept. 21 and now tying FSC.

·         Lynn’s draw snaps a two-game skid for the Blue and White.
