Lynn Softball Adds Alum Vazquez to Coaching Staff

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University head softball coach Jill Moore didn’t have to look far as she rounded out her coaching staff for the 2019-20 season.  Sara Vazquez has returned to her alma mater to work with the Fighting Knights’ outfielders and alumni outreach as she breaks into the coaching ranks.

“I’m thrilled to add one of our own to my staff,” added Moore.  “Sara has always been a very hard worker and has so much pride in Lynn University.  I’m excited to mentor her in a new capacity and help her grow as a coach.  She personifies our values of Spirit, Service and Strength and our softball family is lucky to have gained her back.”

Vazquez patrolled the outfield for four seasons with the Blue and White from 2014-17, appearing in 185 games and making 183 starts.  She batted .280 over her career with 84 runs scored, 37 runs batted in and 32 stolen bases.  She ranks second in program history for swipes and is in the top-10 for runs (T-8th), games played and started (9th) and hits (T-10th).
