Saint Leo, Fla. – The Division II men’s tennis world was held from a highly-anticipated top-10 matchup on Friday as eighth-ranked Lynn University and 10th-ranked West Florida were unable to complete their neutral-site match due to rain. The match was tied 1-1 before it was called.
The Argos gained an early advantage, winning two of the three doubles bouts to secure the first point. Lucca Baptista and Jose Porfirio Ordonez won the No. 2 doubles match for Lynn, 6-2, but UWF took the first and third flights, 6-3.
In singles, Porfirio Ordonez picked up his second victory of the day, winning the third flight, 6-2, 6-1. None of the other singles matches were completed in time as the match ended tied up, 1-1.
The match will not be continued or rescheduled.
