From the Coaches: “Alex made some big leaps in his senior season and we think that he has just started scratching the surface of his abilities. He should come in and add quality depth to both our cross country, mid distance and relays right away.”

Anderson specializes in the distance events, notching solid times of 4:57.41 in the 1600 and 17:10.0 in the 5k. He was named Rookie of the Year and to the All-Conference team twice as a prep in his native-Minnesota.

Ginarte will make an immediate impact, especially during the track season, with times of 22.85 in the 200 and 55.39 in the 400. In high school, Ginarte was the senior captain for his program a member of the National Honor Society.

From the Coaches: “Matt comes to us with more of a sprint background but is excited to make the move to the 800. He is going to give us another quality option for the 4×4 and DMR relays. We believe he will adjust really well with the current 400/800/1500 meter group.”

Andrew Nagle

Sophomore

East Longmeadow, Mass. / High Point University

Nagle has racked up personal-bests of 4:23.67 in the 1500 and 17:40.0 in the 5k. A transfer from High Point University, Nagle was a three-time program MVP during his prep career, an All-New England selection in 2017 and was the Phillip H. Shaw award winner.

From the Coaches: “Andrew is also coming from more of a sprint background, but started making the 400/800 transition last year. He is going to make a great addition to our cross country, middle distance and relay groups.”
