Lynn Men’s Basketball Unable to Pull Another Upset over Crosstown Foe

BOCA RATON, Fla. – After upsetting Florida Atlantic last season, the Lynn men’s basketball team wasn’t going to catch the Owls napping this time around. FAU used built a big lead in the first half, which allowed them to win despite playing even over the final 20 minutes.

  • In his first action as a Fighting Knight, Jordan Allen scored a team-high 17 points.
  • Fellow DI transfer Christian Peevy added 15.
  • Brandon Bornelus gave the Fighting Knights a trio of players in double figures with his 10.
  • Ibrahima Sankare, Cameron Gaines and Giovanni Fraser all had five rebounds.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

  • Lynn was only outscored by a single bucket in the second half.
