| OCTOBER 14, 2019 Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed DT John Atkins to the active roster from the practice squad and released WR Tom Kennedy. Additional contract terms were not disclosed. Atkins joined the Lions last season as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Georgia. He spent the majority of the season as a member of the practice squad before appearing in the final two games of the year, where he recorded two tackles. |
