Lacrosse – Nova Southeastern Announces Delayed Start of Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Programs to 2025-26

Nova Southeastern University is pleased to announce a strategic decision to push back the start dates of its highly anticipated men’s and women’s lacrosse programs to the 2025-26 season. This decision aligns with NSU’s commitment to ensuring the optimal development and success of its student-athletes.

After careful evaluation and consideration,  it has determined that allowing additional time for program preparation, recruitment, and facility enhancements will significantly contribute to the long-term success of the lacrosse programs. By extending the timeline, the university aims to create a solid foundation and foster an environment conducive to competitive excellence.

“We are excited to introduce lacrosse to the NSU community, and we want to ensure that our student-athletes have the best possible resources and support systems in place for their athletic and academic growth,” stated Director of Athletics and Associate Vice President for Advancement, Michael Mominey. ” Our timetable to hire coaches for both programs will start in 2023 and this additional time will allow us to build a strong foundation for the program and ensure a competitive experience that aligns with NSU’s standards of excellence.”
