Moore has been named the Indoor National Women’s Field Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year
GAINESVILLE, FLA. – Jasmine Moore continues to receive accolades for her exceptional 2023 indoor season. Moore was named US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Indoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Year, the second consecutive year that she has earned the honors.
The senior becomes the fourth field athlete to ever win back to back Indoor National Women’s Field Athlete of the Year awards. After winning the award in 2022 Moore joins Yanis David (2019) as Gators who have received this honor.
Moore’s indoor season saw her unparalleled success in horizontal jumps continue. Moore earned First Team All-American and All-SEC honors this season. Moore became the first woman to ever clear both 15m in the triple jump and 7m in the long jump indoors. She is also only the fourth woman ever in indoor or outdoor horizontal jumps to clear these marks.
She set the American and collegiate record in the triple jump (15.12m/49’7.25″) and the collegiate record in the long jump (7.03m/23’0.75″) at the NCAA Indoors on her way to her fifth and sixth national title as a Gator. She has won every SEC and NCAA horizontal jump competition as a Gator, for a total of six SEC titles and six National Titles.
The Gators return to action on March 23 and 24 in Tallahassee, Florida as they start their outdoor campaign at the FSU Relays.
