(On what the team can say after today’s loss) “After a loss like today, you just don’t say any words. You just get back in the office tomorrow, get back to the drawing board, watch the film, correct the necessary things and get back to work. Coach said it best: ‘Don’t say any words. Just get back to work.’”
(On the two big plays the defense gave up during the game) “Pay attention to details. We know this is a detailed business. We just can’t make mistakes. When you make mistakes, they hit you. But the big thing was, we still had opportunity. You don’t point fingers at anybody. We still had opportunities as a team and we still have to capitalize and win.”
(On only being behind one score in the fourth quarter) “We have to finish. We have to find a way to finish. No matter what we have to find a way to finish.”
(On the team’s mindset going into the next game) “Mindset still doesn’t change. If you desire to be a champion, if you desire to be a winner, you have to continue to do the necessary things to get better. And those things are just playing smart football, playing fast, playing with technique, playing to your assignments, doing the necessary things the coaches put in play for us and just going out there and executing to the best of your ability. We’re just asking everyone to go out there and do their job.”
