The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Atlanta Falcons at TIAA Bank Field this Sunday, Nov. 28. The matchup kicks off at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast regionally on FOX and on radio on WJXL (1010AM, 92.5 FM) and in Spanish on 930AM/97.3FM via Accion. This week’s game is sponsored by CSX.
SALUTE TO SERVICE
The Jaguars will recognize the NFL’s Salute to Service campaign on Sunday. Each season, NFL teams select one home game to recognize and honor our nation’s brave servicemembers. Salute to Service is a year-round effort to honor, empower and connect our nation’s service members, veterans and their families. Fans will see the official Salute to Service logo around TIAA Bank Field and on helmet decals, cleats, towels, sideline caps and other equipment. Throughout the game, the Jaguars will salute members of the military through special in-game activations and pay homage to those who have served in all branches of the military.
JAGUARS AND NAVY MUTUAL INTRODUCE MILITARY EXPRESS LANE
Beginning this Sunday, current and former military servicemembers and their families are invited to use the new Navy Mutual Military Express Lane located near Gate 3 on the northeast corner of TIAA Bank Field. This gate will allow expedited entry and security screening for our military members for this game and all Jaguars games in the future. Click here to access a flyer with location information.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: The Jaguars and Navy Mutual will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new express lane on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 10:15 a.m. near Gate 3 at TIAA Bank Field. Jaguars and Navy Mutual executives will be on hand, including Jaguars President Mark Lamping.
On April 19, 2021, USS The Sullivans (DDG 68) departed Mayport, Fla. for deployment to participate in HMS Queen Elizabeth Strike Group. The inclusion of U.S. forces within the Strike Group set to improve expeditionary capabilities and interoperability between NATO allies, demonstrating the United States’ commitment to the NATO alliance. The Jaguars will welcome home the sailors that returned this week from a six-month deployment with a special in-game recognition.
HONOREE OF THE GAME
The honoree of the game will be Vice Admiral Richard A Brown. Brown is a senior defense operations leader with more than 35 years of experience leading transformation throughout the Navy. He ensured continuity of operations during the COVID-19 pandemic and led significant transformation in technical, training and operations programs throughout his career.
BELL RINGER
The Bell Ringer for Sunday’s game will be Vice Admiral Ted B. Branch. As Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Navy and Marine Group for Perspecta, Branch leads more than 4,000 professionals providing mission critical information technology services under the Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) contract. Prior to assuming his current role, he was Vice President, Navy and Marine Corps, for DXC Technology’s U.S. Public Sector. Vice Admiral Branch joined the public sector IT industry following more than 37 years of service in the U.S. Navy, most recently after serving three years as the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare and the Director of Naval Intelligence.
PREGAME PATRIOTISM
The national anthem will be performed by retired Navy Petty Officer Generald Wilson. Originally from St. Louis, Wilson retired from the Navy after 21 years of honorable service. He has performed the Star Spangled Banner at numerous sporting events. He has performed at the World Series, three NFL playoff games, the Little League World Series and the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship game as well as other professional sporting events.
The flyover will be executed by The Affordable Warbirds flying a total of six World War II-era planes trailing smoke high above TIAA Bank Field. Affordable Warbird, LLC was formed in 2006 by Hank Gibson, a former U.S. Navy Aviator, Gulf War veteran, Gulfstream demo pilot and corporate pilot. His aircraft is based at Herlong Recreational Airport in Jacksonville.
The American field flag and Military Branch Flag will be held by military service members and veterans from all six branches of the military. The colors will be presented by the Northeast Florida Joint Service Honor Guard.
FIRST DUUUVAL
The First DUUUVAL will be delivered by Chief Warrant Officer Walter Cuthbert. Cuthbert spent more than 20 years in the United States Army as a maintenance test pilot in the UH60 and EH60 series Blackhawks. During his career, he served as a maintenance supervisor and manager and supported Operation Desert Storm by providing mission-ready helicopters along with technical and logistical support. He retired from the Army in 1993 and soon returned to maintenance test flying, where he spent the next 19 years at the Army Aviation Helicopter Training Facility Center in Fort Rucker, Ala.
OATH OF ENLISTMENT CEREMONY
At halftime, the Jaguars will host an Oath of Enlistment Ceremony for more than 160 recruits from all branches of the military. The Oath of Enlistment is a tradition required of all enlisted servicemembers. Federal law requires servicemembers to take this oath upon their initial enlistment and all subsequent reenlistments. The ceremony will be conducted by General Michael Linnington. He serves as the chief executive officer of the Wounded Warrior Project and brings 35 years of military experience and leadership to the program.
FAN REMINDERS
- Be Clear on Game Day – The NFL’s clear bag policy is in effect at TIAA Bank Field. Fans are encouraged to leave all bags at home, but, if one is necessary, it should be either a clear bag no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” or a non-clear bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5.”
- Mobile Ticketing – Fans should have their mobile tickets downloaded and ready to scan prior to arriving at the entry gates. To access your tickets, download the Official Jaguars Mobile App.
- Cashless Transactions – Cash is no longer accepted anywhere in the stadium. In addition to traditional scan and chip options, all fixed points of sale will offer tap or scan payment options including JagsPay, Apple, Google and Samsung Pay.
- Jaguars fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early. Increased crowds and construction around the sports complex will impact traffic patterns. Parking lots open four hours prior to kickoff for tailgating. The Fan Entertainment Zone opens three hours prior to kickoff in the south end of the stadium near Gates 1 and 4. All stadium gates will open at 11 a.m. The Jaguars will hold player introductions starting promptly at 12:53 p.m. The team’s defensive starters will be introduced individually as the Jaguars take the field against the Falcons
FAN HEALTH AND SAFETY
The Jaguars and all stadium partners continue to prioritize fan health and safety. Many of last year’s contactless experience features remain in place, including touchless security screening and ticket-scanning procedures, mobile ordering and cashless transactions and enhanced cleaning of public spaces. In accordance with state and local guidelines, masks are recommended for unvaccinated guests, and anyone feeling unwell is encouraged to stay home. TIAA Bank Field remains a smoke-free facility.
