(On how important today’s opportunity was for him) “Absolutely, I think you said it. For any rookie, it’s an opportunity to get some more film on tape in a regular season game. Honestly, any tape in a regular season game is important.”
(On what he showed in the weeks he’s been with the Colts as a rookie) “I felt good. I felt strong through practice and showed pretty well in the games. I felt comfortable with ‘Rigo’ [Rigoberto Sanchez] and long snapper Luke [Rhodes]. They did a great job of helping me out and getting me situated quickly. I felt confident about it.”
(On hitting a 50-yard field goal) “So I kicked it and then it went through the uprights. It felt good. I felt confident going out there. That was our smoothest operation. Great snap by Luke [Rhodes], fantastic hold by ‘Rigo’ [Rigoberto Sanchez] and I put it through.”
(On working with Colts Special Teams Coordinator Bubba Ventrone) “It’s been great. He’s been a great help. He kind of lets me do what I need to do, but keeps a good eye on me. He’s definitely there for any questions or any drills that I need to do. He played, I want to say it was 10 years in the league, so he knows a lot, especially about the mental part, which helps a lot too. He’s been a great help.”
