Jaguars vs Bills Postgame Transcripts 10/8/2023

HEAD COACH DOUG PEDERSON
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

Q. How does it feel to win in London?
DOUG PEDERSON: It feels great. Our goal obviously is 1-0 each week. It started last week against the
Falcons, and we found a way to win that one. Then against a really good hot Bills team today and found
a way again. Great team effort, but definitely feels good. Still a lot of football ahead of us, but we
accomplished our immediate goal, and that was to win two games over here.
Q. Finding a way to win, is that your goal?
DOUG PEDERSON: Pretty much. It was a real physical football game. That’s a great team over there, a
really well-coached team. We knew going in it was going to be physical, high-powered offense, all those
types of things, great defense. We were just going to have to sustain. My hats really off to our offensive
line, our run game, especially in the second half, [Offensive Coordinator] Press Taylor for sticking with
the run, and our skill guys making plays when they needed to. Defense just stepped up big I think all day.
The forced punts, obviously the [CB] Darious Williams interception, the fumble at the end of the game,
special teams. Everybody had a hand in it. Very pleased, very proud of our guys.
Q. Could you talk a little bit about despite the fumbles that Trevor [QB Trevor Lawrence] did have
today, could you talk about his toughness and getting some really tough sideline throws to Ridley [WR
Calvin Ridley], as well?
DOUG PEDERSON: Yeah, Trevor played extremely tough today and physical. He’s done that all season.
He’s done that before. Obviously, a great leader that way. He does what it takes to win that down. He
had to use his legs today. He played physical, as well, for a couple weeks in a row.
Q. At the end of the game I saw you pumping your fist to the crowd. I assume it was somebody you
knew?
DOUG PEDERSON: My wife and my friends that were sitting up there. The only five people I had here.
Q. Did it feel like there was extra juice added to this win?
DOUG PEDERSON: Listen, these games are emotional, man. They’re hard fought. Both teams are
straining. The players are straining. Guys are putting their bodies on the line, coaches and the whole
thing. Obviously, we’re not out there playing, but we’re part of it, and we feel it, and we feel the
emotion. It’s okay to let your emotion and everything show every now and then, and I know I try to keep
things in too much, but maybe I should show that emotion a little bit more, but I was very proud of our

guys, the way they hung in there for 60 minutes in this football game. I’ll fist pump after every one of
those.
Q. Can you talk about the 32-yard completion on third down and six? Calvin [WR Calvin Ridley] wasn’t
there, the pressure was coming. Did that seem as big a play as any in the game?
DOUG PEDERSON: You know, again, it’s the offense, it’s Trevor [QB Trevor Lawrence], it’s Calvin [WR
Calvin Ridley], it’s everybody being on the same page. It’s our offensive staff preparing our guys for
situations like that, [Quarterbacks Coach] Mike McCoy having Trevor ready in situations like that to
make that call, to see the blitz, to audible the route. Great throw, great catch. We needed it to really —
maybe not ice the game but at least help us win this football game.
Q. It seemed from about six minutes left in the second quarter that the Bills were surging, grabbing
momentum. What happened today? What was the mindset that kept them in it? The team had
answers for everything the Bills did.
DOUG PEDERSON: I think it’s just a credit to the players. Defense has the offense’s back, offense has the
defense’s back, special teams both. I just think that that’s where the difference was with the players.
Offensive struggles in the second quarter, we missed opportunities to kick some field goals, we took
points off the board, which we can’t do, but the defense went out there and held them to seven points
in the first half and really did an outstanding job. Again, credit the players. They really understood this
type of game. We as a team are figuring out that we’re very capable of winning these types of games,
and this is a step in that direction.
Q. What does it mean for this organization to come over here, have this historic trip and come out of
this with two victories and in a lot of ways change your early season?
DOUG PEDERSON: I think it’s big. It’s big for our organization. We came over here 1-2 and we’re going
back 3-2. But again, it’s two ballgames, it’s one ballgame, whatever it might be. We’re five in. Plenty of
football ahead of us, a lot of work ahead of us, we’ve got this travel, kind of a short week. It’s great to
come over here because we have a lot of fans here, our organization, our owner Mr. [Shad] Khan.
Obviously we all enjoy coming here. We spent 10 days here. Two great places, the Grove and Hanbury
Manor were outstanding for us, and just proud of our entire organization and our team for how we
handled it.
Q. Can you update the injuries?
DOUG PEDERSON: Zay [WR Zay Jones], I don’t know Zay specifically yet. I think it’s still the same injury
he had from a couple weeks ago, so we’ll see where he’s at. [OL] Walker Little, I believe just a knee at
this point, but I don’t have any further updates until probably we get back to the States and do some
more investigation there. Cam [OL Cam Robinson] was an elbow. I think he’s going to be fine as we go.
Calvin [WR Calvin Ridley] obviously got hit the one time in the head. He went through the whole
protocol on the sideline, checked out clear and went back in the game. Trevor [QB Trevor Lawrence] was
just cramping late in the game. It got warm down there on that turf and everything. Other than that, I
think we came out okay.
Q. You spoke about the fans last week. Did it feel a lot more like a natural road game this week?

DOUG PEDERSON: One hundred percent. One hundred percent. Bills Mafia was full effect today. They
had a great fan base. It did feel like a road game for us. Our guys handled the crowd noise extremely
well. We had to mix up some of our cadences, go between normal vocal cadences and silent cadences
throughout the game, and again, guys handled that well.
Q. What did you take from the flagged plays and what was your take on that late in the game?
DOUG PEDERSON: Yeah, you know, it’s hard for me to express any opinion right now until I really look at
the film, look at the TV copy and then I can make a better assessment of that. Obviously, it’s a flag, it’s a
foul during the game, and we’ve got to be more aware of that, obviously, and coach that a little bit
better. But until I really evaluate those, it’s hard to make a comment at this time.
Q. Obviously talking about the offense, I know takeaways have happened three games in a row. How
impressed are you with your defense today?
DOUG PEDERSON: Listen, our defense, two weeks in a row. My hats off to [Defensive Coordinator] Mike
Caldwell and the staff, just the way they’ve prepared our players, the way the players have embraced
the game plans, the way they practice during the week, and then go out and play the physical style that
they’re capable of playing. It’s that things are beginning to kind of gel for them as a unit, and creating
takeaways, obviously. Again, this is two weeks in a row. They did it last week in Atlanta, kind of keeping
the offense in the game, and then again today keeping the offense sort of in the game. Just a great
performance by our defense.
Q. The Bills at least at the beginning seemed pretty flat. Do you feel like you had a little bit of an
advantage having been here for a week prior?
DOUG PEDERSON: It’s hard to speak for them, obviously, but I know our guys were in really good
position health-wise. They felt energetic, and they felt good to be here. Ask me that question in seven
days after we go back. It’s a challenge. That’s the next challenge for us, right, with the time change going
back and all that. I did feel like our guys were ready to go. The 10 days over here were good for us.
Q. Is playing overseas better for the players and for you as a coach?
DOUG PEDERSON: I think it’s relatively safe to say that we’ll probably each year play two games over
here. I don’t know that. I don’t have a crystal ball. I hope the rest of the league plays two games over
here at some point. But again, it was good for us, and it was good to get out of Jacksonville at that time.
We needed to, I think, bond a little bit as a football team, and we’ve done that, and now we get to go
back with two wins, and we’ve got a big AFC South match-up next week.
Q. Why did you choose to play the game next week because you could have a bye week, but you
probably chose to save the bye week for later in the season?
DOUG PEDERSON: Yeah, we’re still so early in the season after five games to take the bye this early. It’s a
long season, a lot of football left, and so I feel like if you can push your bye towards the middle of the
year, it might benefit you. But I’ll do my part to help our team recover this week coming up, but yeah,
it’s still making sure that they’re prepared mentally for the Colts next weekend.

Q. You’ve been here for 10 days; how has that helped you bond more as a team?
DOUG PEDERSON: I think we’re in the hotel together, we’re seeing each other down the hallways, we’re
walking to practice together. The players are together. They’re going to dinners at night. They’re hanging
out during the week. Coaches are doing the same thing. It just keeps guys closer. You kind of get to
know people a little bit more. So that’s positive. That’s positive when you can do that. I encourage the
players to be around each other as much as possible, go grab dinner, or if they wanted to go swimming
or whatever it might be at the hotel. It keeps them close, and that’s what we’re going to need as the
season progresses.

QUARTERBACK TREVOR LAWRENCE
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

Q. Can you talk about every time this team faced the Bills and they were not in surge at the end of the
second quarter, in the third quarter, you guys had an answer. I’m not sure this team has always had
that. What enabled you to have an answer today?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: Yeah, I think it took all three phases that had to make plays in big moments. First
half, really the defense keeping us in it, and the second half in crunch time, the offense had to go down
and have a drive, and we were able to do that. It was all three phases working together, so that was big,
and then we knew what type of game it was going to be. When you’re playing teams like that, they’re a
great team. It’s going to be a four-quarter game no matter how it starts. I think we missed some
opportunities early to kind of jump out to an even bigger lead. But we knew it was going to be a
dogfight. It was going to be a four-quarter game. It wasn’t going to be easy, and we had to find a way to
win. That’s what it was all about. That was the message all week, to play physical, to attack them, and I
feel like we did that.

Q. Last week we spoke about the fans being a little bit mixed and how it felt a little bit like a home
game. How much more did it feel like a road game this week?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: Yeah, definitely felt like more of a road game this week for sure. The Bills fans came
out and obviously this was like a home game for them. They came out and they were loud. We weren’t
really anticipating using tile enter cadence, and we had to, I’d say, half the game maybe. So that was
something that we had to make an adjustment to. Once we kind of settled in, we were fine, but that was
definitely kind of a surprise how loud and how many fans showed up from Buffalo, so that was cool.

Q. 10 days ago you traveled with a negative record. Now you’re going back home 3-2. What changed
within the group?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: I don’t think anything changed. I think we cleaned up some things. We’ve executed
a little bit better. Still not great. It’s never going to be perfect. This game, it’s an imperfect game, so it’s
never going to be perfect, but there’s definitely things that we need to clean up. We need to continue to
clean up. Still just a little bit sloppy. But the difference is we’re making the plays when we have to make
them in crunch time, and I think the other two games that we’ve lost, we didn’t do that when the
moment was there. We kind of let the opportunity slip. I think that’s the biggest difference, so I think if
we clean up even more of the mistakes and the execution and sloppiness, it’ll be even cleaner. But it’s
never going to be perfect, and it’s really just about winning.

Q. How are you feeling, and what was happening with your calf?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: Yeah, calf’s cramping up a little bit in the second half of that game. I’m feeling
pretty good. Excited to get off my feet for nine hours or whatever it is for this flight and get back home
and recover and rest up.

Q. Tell me about your thoughts in redzone situations and how their defense lined up.
TREVOR LAWRENCE: Yeah, I was kind of surprised they gave us that look. It was something that — every
team has tendencies to get, when they get to cover zero, it’s usually a certain look and you’re kind of
ready for that. It wasn’t necessarily the look I was expecting, but we saw it, and I knew it was going to be
and we were in empty, so there was going to be pressure, and when they pressure you in empty,
especially zero, they’ve got one more than you can block. I knew I had to get a signal to something, and
then I saw they had everybody pressed across the board and had Micah [Bills S Micah Hyde] on a safety
on Calvin [WR Calvin Ridley], so that’s like a great match-up, dream match-up for us, so I was excited,
and we just took the shot.

Q. Tell me about WR Calvin Ridley’s run.
TREVOR LAWRENCE: Yeah, it was just a quick little – I got the check to him and he knew what we were
checking to. Great release off the line and he ran a great route.

Q. Talk a little bit about your own resiliency.
TREVOR LAWRENCE: Yeah, this game, like I said, it’s an imperfect game. You try your best to play as
good as you can and to play perfect, but you never will. Obviously, I agree with all that. I think that one
is frustrating because it was something I could have avoided. I felt like held on to the ball too long in that
situation. One, don’t need to take a sack when we were in field goal range, and two, obviously lose the
ball and don’t get any points, it’s kind of a worse situation there. But I’ve had a lot of bad plays in my
career. I’ve had a lot of games where I’ve had a lot of turnovers. I’ve done all those things, and I’ve just
realized it’s about the next play, and you can’t ever think about that after it’s over. That’s the way this
game is. You’re never going to be perfect, and even more so, it’s important to focus on the next play
when you did have a bad play because you’ve got to bounce back, and the team needs me to play well if
we’re going to win. I understand that, and that’s what I had to do.

Q. Do you think that this trip helped the team bond and make more plays, do you think the fact that
you played two games in a row in Europe?

TREVOR LAWRENCE: I don’t know if I’m the right person to ask. It was a cool experience. I think it was
good for our team. We used it the right way. I think it kind of refocused us. We were about our business.
We got two wins, and that was the goal was to get two wins and go home. I know we’re excited to go
home. It’s a long time away from your life, I guess, one would say, but we’re excited to get back. But it
was a cool experience. It was great. Fans are awesome here. The people were great. The hotels,
hospitality. I know it takes a lot to take care of a whole team, so everyone did a good job helping out
with that. But I don’t know, I think it went well, though. We went 2-0, so I’m happy.

Q. How did you find the crowd noise this week compared to last week?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: It was much louder, yeah. It was much louder. The fans did a good job of being
loud when we were on offense, especially on 3rd downs and in the redzone or backed up when we were
near the fans. They did a really good job being loud, so that created a couple communication issues and
stuff that we had to work through, I felt like once we settled in and we understood, okay, it’s a road
game, this is how it’s going to be, then we were fine.

RUNNING BACK TRAVIS ETIENNE JR.
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

Q. Was this one of your best games of the season and in your career? How do you feel the 10 days has
been for you to be here?
TRAVIS ETIENNE: It helped us be locked in and focused. I felt like we came out here, we were focused,
and just being here all week, I felt like we were acclimated to everything and we were able to come out
here and keep the main thing the main thing and just go out there and play free.

Q. Can you talk about having an answer for the Bills every time they had a little surge there? About six
minutes into the second quarter they were starting to take control and every time they did you guys
had an answer.
TRAVIS ETIENNE: That’s just us being resilient. We had to just go in there and do our job each and every
play. We’ve got to find a way to kind of stop stalling out at times, but we answered the bell every time
they rang it. That’s what you’ve got to do as an NFL team, and we were able to do that, and to play great
teams you have to make plays, and we made plays whenever we needed to, and happy we got the W.

Q. How different will it feel getting on the plane going home 3-2 than it was coming over here 1-2?
TRAVIS ETIENNE: It’s going to feel great. It’s going to feel great. But we have to understand that we’re 3-
2 and the season is still ahead of us. We’re going to enjoy this one. We’re going to enjoy the plane ride.
But whenever we touchdown we have to understand that we’ve got to get ready for the Colts. It’s a new
game. NFL is week-to-week. We can’t bask in this because it’s still early in the season. Two weeks from
now, nobody will remember this game and we have to understand that and keep moving.

Q. Was today an example of being persistent in the running game?
TRAVIS ETIENNE: Most definitely. That’s just the NFL. You see week in and week out, you won’t see guys
get 100 yards if they don’t have 20 carries. This is the NFL. Everyone has great defenders out there, great
defensive lines and stuff like that, and it was just stick with it, like the first half. They played really well.
They played disciplined. They were making tackles and you’ve just got to wear them down throughout
the game, and wear them down, wear them down. We were able to do that, and those tackles they
were making in the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter, fourth quarter, they don’t make those

tackles anymore. Guys start making business decisions and that’s when you have to put your head down
and keep running.

Q. With 20 seconds left in the game and you were on the sideline, how were you feeling watching the
end of the game?
TRAVIS ETIENNE: I mean, honestly, I feel like our defense had a heck of a game, so I was feeling great. I
feel like we had a chance to go out there and put it away. We didn’t. But our defense had a chance, and
they went out there and they did it for us. That’s all I can ask for. I was feeling great. They held [Bills QB]
Josh Allen all game. I felt they did a great job, and I love that.

Q. So much about this team advertised in the preseason as a team that was capable of being a Super
Bowl contender. Is that the team we saw today?
TRAVIS ETIENNE: Yes, sir, but we have a long way to go. Understand that it’s a long season, it’s a 17-
game season. It’s not Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, and we just have to continue to find ways to get better.
We won the game today but we’re going to look at the film and understand that we’ve got a lot of things
to clean up, and we just have to keep moving in the right direction, and I feel like we’re doing it as a
team. As long as we keep moving direction, later in the season we’ll gel, and we’ll be great.

Q. Given the quality of the opponent today, do you feel like you guys maybe sent a little bit of a
message to the rest of the AFC that we’re not going away?
TRAVIS ETIENNE: I mean, yes, sir. We just come out here and just do our job and just play football. We
come in here every week with the expectation to win, and that’s what we’re going to continue to do. We
might have had two off games, but that doesn’t define us. One game doesn’t define us, and we want the
world to know that and understand that it’s a long season so we can’t just get lost in this.

Q. How did it feel having a strong running game, especially after your second touchdown?
TRAVIS ETIENNE: I feel like it’s great. I feel like that’s what you want out of your offense when the games
get close late in the games, you want your run game to be the closer, be the finisher, and we were able
to do that. We were able to put good things on film, and we’ve just got to continue to take it one play at
a time, and good things will happen for us.

Q. Was this win satisfying considering that so many Bills fans were here and they were technically the
home team?

TRAVIS ETIENNE: Yeah, most definitely. I remember at the beginning of the game just running out, and I
ran out and there were just so many boos. I felt like I had never heard that in London. I thought we were
the London team honestly, and I realized today that we weren’t, not today, and I just wanted to give
them something to show. It was my first time playing in this stadium. I wanted to go out there and just
put on a masterpiece for everyone out there.

Q. Was there ever a discussion of you not scoring when you were 34-yards out, to take more time off
the clock, or were you too far out to even discuss that?
TRAVIS ETIENNE: No, so we never had a discussion about it. I already knew if Coach [Head Coach Doug
Pederson] could have told me about it, he probably would have told me go down, and I thought about it,
but I was like, nah. The crowd was going crazy all game, and I just wanted to go out there and try to put
the game away, and our defense was playing really well, and I feel like it was the right thing to do at the
time.

Q. Did you see a big difference in atmosphere between games in the United States and games in the
London?
TRAVIS ETIENNE: Yes, sir, I felt like it was just so much louder here, just for it to be a regular season
game, just for it to be Week 5. I feel like the intensity, the crowd, everyone was just going crazy. I
remember I’m out there on the field, I’m leaning in the huddle, and I’m like, what did Trev [QB Trevor
Lawrence] say? I can’t hear Trev, so I had to ask him again, and that was the first time that happened for
me in my NFL career.

WIDE RECEIVER CALVIN RIDLEY
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

Q. Talk about the willingness of QB Trevor Lawrence to hang in there, having two fumbles and not
letting gaffs like that happen.
CALVIN RIDLEY: Yeah, he’s more than ready for those big moments. We trust Trevor no matter what. He’s
going to make the right read. He’s going to do the right thing at the right time. Closer to the end of the
game, you saw that he made some good plays, some great throws and good checks and put us in a
position to win.
Q. Is this about what you thought you’d have with him [QB Trevor Lawrence]? It seemed like today
you felt like you were on the same page kind of on a different level?
CALVIN RIDLEY: Yeah, we practice no matter what, if it’s two targets a game, we practice like it’s 10
targets a game. We definitely have the chemistry. We’re ready to make the plays and do whatever we
have to do to help the team win. Today, Coach [Head Coach Doug Pederson] was calling my number and I
was trying to make the plays, and Trevor was making some great throws.
Q. Can you talk about the 32-yard completion on third-down-and-six?
CALVIN RIDLEY: Yeah, they went zero. They put a safety on me, and honestly, I think we were running, I
think, but Trevor [QB Trevor Lawrence] checked it. He saw the safety on me, gave me a good check, and
we made a big play.
Q. How do you feel about Tottenham and what made the difference between playing in Jacksonville
and here?
CALVIN RIDLEY: Yeah, the difference I think, it’s not that hot. It’s hot, very hot in Jacksonville. Get some
good weather here, it’s just a different scenery. The whole team stayed in a hotel together. We went
down to London. We hung out together. I think we just hung out more with each other and bonded
really well, and I felt all week, especially this week versus the Bills, I knew they had a good team, but the
way the week was going, I just knew that I think we’re going to win this game for sure.
Q. On if being away for ten days felt like a vacation or a work trip.
CALVIN RIDLEY: Kinda. It was kind of like that. We didn’t try to make it that — we just tried to make it
business. We didn’t know what to expect. This is my first time over there. Honestly, me personally, I
loved the 10 days. I loved coming over here. I thought it was great for me to get away from Jacksonville,
to come out here and see a different city. I’ve never been here. I had a blast here, honestly.
Q. This was your third highest receiving yards in any game in your career. Do you feel like this is the
best season ever in your career?
CALVIN RIDLEY: I’m still working; how about that? I’m still working, man. I thought I was really good, but
I’m still trying to get better. I’m getting better; how about that? I’m in my sixth year, and I’m still getting
better. I think that’s something good to see.
Q. How satisfying is it to play the way you did today?

CALVIN RIDLEY: You know, I’m not like — I really don’t care about the stats and everything. I really just
want to win because we work hard. We practice all week. I run a lot during the week; know what I’m
saying? To come out there, run around, catch some passes, but the goal is to win the game. Coach [Head
Coach Doug Pederson] said it before we came out here, he said, we’re coming here to win two games,
and that’s what we did. Getting the W’s are the main goal.
Q. You came here with a 1-2 record, leaving here 3-2. How do you feel the team has played in Europe
and how do you go back to Jacksonville now?
CALVIN RIDLEY: Yeah, I think we played pretty good. Obviously, we could be better. We want to be the
best offense and the best all phases of offense, defense, special teams. But I think we played good. We
played the first team, the Falcons, a really good team, got a W against them, and obviously played [Bills
QB] Josh Allen and the Bills and got a W. But we need to go back and enjoy the win tonight on the plane,
but get our minds back right, have another great week of practice. That’s what we’ve been doing. We’ve
been the leaders on the team, we’ve been gathering, and everything has been going right how we want
it, and getting better each and every week.
Q. How are you feeling now physically?
CALVIN RIDLEY: Physically I’m sore, but my body is strong. I work out every week. I’ll be ready to do it
again next week.
Q. Do you feel like you’re one of the leaders of the team?
CALVIN RIDLEY: I just got here, so I’m working my way up the ranks; how about that?
Q. (Indiscernible).
CALVIN RIDLEY: Yeah, Trevor [QB Trevor Lawrence], they lined up in empty, and Trevor looked at me and
gave me a signal, and I ran what he gave me. I was just staring at him like what are we going to do, what
do you want to do, and he gave me something, and he made a great throw.

OUTSIDE LINEBACKER JOSH ALLEN
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

Q. What did you make of that because personally I didn’t think it was roughing the passer, but what
did you think?
JOSH ALLEN: We won the game.

Q. You don’t think the call off that, though, on Trevor [QB Trevor Lawrence] when essentially one of
their plays took his head off was ridiculous in comparison to the fact that you got called for roughing
the passer?
JOSH ALLEN: I’m glad we won the game. We can look back at these plays, but at the end of the day it’s
all about that win. When you lose, then you start looking back at those plays and saying what if, what if,
almost, we almost did that, almost got that. At the end of the day, I’m glad we won. There’s still room
for improvement leading into next week, and I’m ready to get better next week.

Q. How did you think the pressure was today? Did you bring enough pressure?
JOSH ALLEN: There’s always room for improvement. Obviously looking back at it, I feel like there was a
lot of attention on my side of the ball and setting me different, oversetting me with a guard right there
and a chipper on the back end. Everybody else, we’ve got to apply pressure as a whole, and I think that’s
an area we can improve on leading into next week on when we have matchups like this and we have
opportunities as a whole. Let’s find a way to get there. I think towards the end of the game, we started
running a little bit more gains, and those became effective. Those started opening up opportunities for
myself to get a little bit freer. But there’s always room for improvement, and we can get better.

Q. Can you talk about [CB] Darious Williams, in the first half going after him, he gave up yards. In the
second half he came through with a fourth-quarter interception and the stop on the two-point
conversion, what does that say about his resiliency?
JOSH ALLEN: Huge. Man, he knows we’ve got his back. He’s never out there by himself, and I know when
it’s my time, I know I’m never out there by myself. I know these guys are going to ride with me. It’s just
making plays in front of you. I know for me, I missed an opportunity for a sack, so I’ve got to make up for

those guys in the back end. But for D-Will [CB Darious Williams], for him to stay locked in, to not get, oh,
man, they did this, that, next play is going to be right there. You never know when it’s going to be there.
But I’m so happy for him, proud of him, and that’s what he does, him and Tyson [CB Tyson Campbell].
Oh, my goodness, locked down corners. Obviously they’re going to have playmakers on their side of the
ball, as well, but I’ll take my corners over any cornerbacks in the National Football League right now, and
we’re going to stand on that.

Q. After coming in with back-to-back losses, how important were these two games?
JOSH ALLEN: Well, we’re on a two-game winning streak and we want to stay hot. We’ve got a big game
coming up next week against the Colts. Obviously you know they’ve got their top back returning, and
we’re excited for that challenge. It’s make the corrections from this week, move on to next week, and
find areas to improve on.

Q. How do you feel that this 10 days in London has helped you?
JOSH ALLEN: I think just hanging out with each other. I know my family didn’t get in town until Thursday
of this week, so for me, it was really film study and hanging out with the guys. Back home, you kind of
get stuck into your life, now we’re outside of our personal lives and we have to adjust, so for us, man,
we’ve got time to spend more time with each other, to go to dinner more, play the game if we want to,
watch more film together. It was definitely really cool just to take these days off and really connect with
everybody offensively and defensively.

Q. Do you feel like you guys sent a message today about feeling like you guys are really a legit Super
Bowl contender? Do you feel like that statement was made today more than any other time this year?
JOSH ALLEN: I mean, it was definitely a big game, a statement game. The next one could be even bigger.
The next one is a divisional opponent. It’s I believe two games in one. It’s a must-win. But the confidence
that we practice in, to know that when we are on our game, offensively, defensively, special teams,
we’re a team that can’t be beat. We stay with that confidence, stay with that swag. I think leading into
Texans week, we expected to win that game, and we came out and did what we did. This week we
worked to win, and that’s our motto. I’m excited to see what this week has in store for us, big game this
week, we already played the Colts once. Personnel is probably still the same. But I’m excited to play
against them again.

Q. What makes the difference for Jacksonville, the statement of the league and playing here, how do
you feel about how the game went?

JOSH ALLEN: As a defense? I mean, we could definitely hold our head up high to hold this team to 20
points, seven points in the first half. But there’s still areas where we can get better, and I think those
opportunities that they had, we gave them those. I don’t know what happened in the back end. I don’t
know if it was missed coverage or somebody slipped or fell, but we can improve on that. For me, that
roughing the passer, I think we get that sack or if I lean my head out of it or take pressure — I don’t know
what it was called, but we get that sack, they don’t score. There’s definitely errors to improve each
week, but I think as a whole, man, we stayed true. The offense was unbelievable. [WR] Calvin Ridley was
the guy out there, he is that guy. [QB] Trevor Lawrence, oh, my goodness, [RB] Travis [Etienne Jr.],
offensive line. Everything went smoothly. There were a lot of ups and downs, but we had a lot of ups
and downs many times, and it was a great team win.

Q. Did you have an advantage over the Bills because you were here and they were not?
JOSH ALLEN: I think for us, it was how we prepared all week. We were in the Falcons as a normal
schedule, and we went out there and handled business. I think this week, we just prepared right. I know
when Cam [OL Cam Robinson] came back and Zay [WR Zay Jones], you felt that energy. I was telling
those guys, man, when they came back, in practice they looked different. It sensed different, seemed
different, tasted different. It was just like, yeah, we’re about to get clicking. To go out there and to see
the offense perform like that, that’s a statement that needs to be held. So proud of them. Hopefully
they continue to get better as a defense, get better, special teams, get better. [P] Logan Cooke with like
the perfect punt and special teams, DT [S Daniel Thomas] making his way down there, as well, man, that
was just a great team win, but it started Monday in practice.

Q. What’s the importance of taking discipline against such a powerful Bills team and quarterback?
JOSH ALLEN: Definitely. I know what you’re saying. But he is a quarterback that could have — who can
run on his legs, obviously, who can be a dual threat. So definitely rush lanes is important. But at the end
of the day, we have to know who we’re rushing against. I’ve been playing against this offensive line for

going on like five years now, and so you know what to expect. So now it’s just you have to win your one-
on-ones. Obviously, the quarterback situation is not going to just stand in the pocket. If he sees a lane,

he’s going to take it so we have to do better on getting off of blocks, using our hands, power rush, speed
rush, just rush as one. I think once we get to that identity as one instead of just picking and choosing or
this way. When we rush as one man, it’s going to be unbelievable. Again, we’re going to start this
Monday.

Q. We watched you two years ago with a different head coach here and you won. How much has
changed from back then to now?
JOSH ALLEN: This was a complete win. Offensively, defensively, special teams. NFL is a week-to-week
basis. You never know what to expect. We didn’t expect to lose to the Texans, but we didn’t prepare the
right way. Those are the outcomes that will happen. When you prepare the right way, when you have

the mindset, when you have the confidence going into each game that you can dominate each match-
up, you play with a sense of swagger, and today we had that swag. Offense, defense, special teams.

Kudos to everybody, the coaching staff, as well, for not losing their cool, everybody keeping sane and
just knowing we’re going to win this game, but we’ve all got to stay in it.

Q. When we met in the off-season you said you were a history buff. Have you taken in anything new?
JOSH ALLEN: I’ve been here so long now; I’ve experienced all of London so far. For me, it was going to
Sushisamba. That’s my spot. If I can go there, it’s a great trip for me.

BILLS HEAD COACH SEAN MCDERMOTT
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

SEAN McDERMOTT: Credit to the Jacksonville Jaguars. They came out and made the plays they needed
to make. Obviously we came up on the short end here. Injury update for you, [LB] Matt Milano, it’s a
knee, lower-leg injury. I know it’s not looking good right now but I don’t know any details beyond that at
this point. And then DaQuan Jones, pec injury and also not looking good at this point. But I’ll know more
in a little bit here.
Q. Must have been good to see [LB] Von Miller take the field back, how much positive energy does
that bring to the locker room and what he is on the field with the team?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Yeah, it’s been a long road back for Von. He’s worked his tail off to get back here.
Good to have him back out there with us.
Q. What didn’t work for you today?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Well, I think when you look at it, you’ve got to start the game faster, number one. I
think we started three-and-out, three-and-out, four-and-out maybe, four punts in a row, I believe. So we
have go get started faster. Just overall, getting the ball back to the offense. Offense sustaining a drive.
Penalties. Too many times shooting ourselves in the foot where we are about to get off the field or we
are starting to get into a rhythm offensively and then we have a penalty or negative play that sets us
back. All in all, not good enough.
Q. I know that you have the next man up mentality. When you lose [LB] Matt [Milano], what does
that do in-game in particular?
SEAN McDERMOTT: It was a setback for us. We were confident in Dorian [LB Dorain Williams] who went
out there, and then T-Dod [LB Tyrel Dodson] was out there as well, so I applaud those guys, T-Dod and
Dorian going out there, not getting a lot of reps during the week but going out during the game and
having to perform.
Q. Matt [LB Matt Milano] covers so much ground and does so much, what’s the dynamic that you lose
when he comes out?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Yeah, the rapport that he has with everybody else out there, the back seven
together, they have got a rapport that they have built up over the years, and in particular this season so
far. So you lose that a little bit. But like I said before, we are confident in those other guys.
Q. A lot of injuries, but that third down really hurt you on offense, and certainly on defense, you
couldn’t come up with plays?

SEAN McDERMOTT: Yeah, the rushing and coverage have to work together, and it wasn’t good enough
today.
Q. Late in the game, looked like you turn to [CB] Ja’Marcus Ingram. Was there an injury or were you
trying to mix something up?
SEAN McDERMOTT: No injury. More situationally. I wanted to get another player in there.
Q. What was the thought of having Micah [S Micah Hyde] lined up?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Yeah, that was a zero blitz. Knowing we wanted to force to get the ball out based on
the options that they had at their disposal at third and medium there, and the quarterback made a good
play.
Q. Do you have a message for the fans that came out?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Super appreciative of the fans that came out. I know it’s not the result we wanted
but Bills Mafia was obviously very present and made themselves heard today and I appreciate that.
Q. Josh (Allen) mentioned tempo and urgency, a lack of both early in the game and finally got in a
groove. Are you second-guessing the decision to fly over when you did? Were they sluggish, and was
that part of the issue?
SEAN McDERMOTT: We’ll see whatever comes up down the road in terms of us coming back here but
we need to evaluate everything because I didn’t feel like our energy was good enough early in the game.
They had better energy than we did.
Q. Kaiir Elam, the cornerback, has been inactive prior to today. How important has the lack of rhythm
been to his performance?
SEAN McDERMOTT: No. You’re playing, you’re expected to play and perform well, regardless of whether
you’ve played or been active or inactive the week before, and guys have done that over the years.
Q. Big game against the New York Giants next Sunday night. How will the game plan change?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Yeah, we are going to fly back tonight, watch the film on the way home and learn
from this. You know, we’ve got to get ourselves back to where we need to be. Fundamentally we’ve got
to get ourselves back, let’s just talk about throwing and catching, tackling. Those are the things that are
at the forefront of some of the reasons why we got the result we did today. So, we have to go back and
make sure we are emphasizing that and along with getting us in sync on both sides of the ball quicker
and playing better complementary football all three phases.
Q. What does it say about [DE] AJ Epenesa’s talent in today’s game?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Yeah, he showed up. We were getting low on numbers there, the D-Line, we only
had so many players down the stretch there but I noticed AJ; I thought he performed well and gave
great effort.

Q. With the result, goes under the radar a little bit that [LB] Von Miller comes back. How nice to have
him back in the lineup?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Yeah, Von was on a pitch count today so we didn’t have him through the second
half like we would hope down the road here but it was great to have him back on the field. You know,
you could just see him out there and his impact on the game.
Q. Would you like to come back here? Do you welcome playing here?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Yeah, we would. Absolutely we would. We enjoyed just the opportunity to be over
here. It’s an honor to be selected to play here, and certainly appreciative of our hosts here in London.
Q. What’s your thoughts on today’s running game?
SEAN McDERMOTT: Yeah, you know, at the end of the day, we’ve got to be able to win. I think we had
29 yards rushing. That’s not going to be good enough to win most times in the NFL.

BILLS QUARTERBACK JOSH ALLEN
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

Q. Would you say penalties hurt you guys?
JOSH ALLEN: We didn’t take care of the little things. You know and that’s on us captains, making sure
that this team is ready to go. You know, the opposing team, they were ready to go today. We weren’t.
Q. Could you describe how it affected your team, the atmosphere?
JOSH ALLEN: Yeah, it was obviously a great energy in the stadium. They showed out and seemed like
there was a lot of Bills in the house which was great. Just wish we could have given them the win.
Q. The late-week arrival may have slowed you down; did it feel like that?
JOSH ALLEN: I don’t think so. At the end of the day, we’ve got to be ready to play on Sunday and it
doesn’t matter if we traveled on Saturday, Friday, Thursday, Monday, weeks ago.
Q. (On the Jaguars)
JOSH ALLEN: We don’t feel like they did anything out of the ordinary for them but they have got a good
group over there and they played well.
Q. You had two deep balls, one completed, another one they intercepted; what did you see on those
two plays?
JOSH ALLEN: Yeah, he did a little double move on both of them. The first one he was wide open, just
don’t miss him. The second one, moving up in the pocket, blocks, got jarred out of my hand a little bit
and had to reset. Got me a little bit late and left it just a little bit underthrown, and the guy made a good
play.
Q. (on LB Matt Milano’s injury)
JOSH ALLEN: I’m not sure what’s going on with Matt. Prayers going out to him. He’s one of our key
pieces on that defense and he flies around and he makes a lot of plays for us. Hopefully it’s not a crazy
injury, and hopefully we can get him back on the field soon. But our defense made some key stops when
they had to. We’ve got to do better for them.
Q. What was it that was able to get you guys going? How did you rally offensively to get in that gear?

JOSH ALLEN: Just a little bit of tempo and adjusting to what we were seeing on film. Good plays. We
came out late in the third quarter, early fourth and felt like we had some more urgency and we didn’t
have that early on in the game, so we’ve got to be better with that.

BILLS SAFETY MICAH HYDE AND SAFETY JORDAN POYER

MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

Q. A little bit underneath everything that happened, the returns before the game? What was it like?
MICAH HYDE: To be honest, since we lined up, I looked over at him and knew something was in the
works and they drew up a good play. They drew up a good play. Literally straight speed off the lineup
and had the whole sideline, obviously ball was thrown and it was a catch. So like I said, Coach draws up
the play, we have to execute and try to win.
Q. Talk about the many injuries going into this game for this defense and during the game.
JORDAN POYER: Micah and I were just talking about that in the locker room. It was like midway through
the first, second quarter, you look out there, some of the guys normally out there are gone, Milano [LB
Matt Milano], DQ [DT DaQuan Jones]. But for the guys that stepped in, T-Dot [LB Tyrel Dodson] I thought
played really well I thought for stepping in the role of Matt [Milano]. We’ve just got to find more ways to
get some takeaways. We had two, definitely not enough. Obviously not enough. So continue to just find
some ways to get more takeaways. It’s Game 5. We’ve been here before so we’ll find a way to bounce
back.
Q. Was the travel a factor?
MICAH HYDE: No, they just went out there and played a good game. We have to give them credit. We
didn’t execute when we needed to, third down, we got some big stops in the red zone. But at the end of
the day we have to get off the field to get the offense the ball back.
Q. Significant injuries two weeks in a row — what goes through your head?
JORDAN POYER: Honestly I just heard the news about Matt [LB Matt Milano], and it’s tough. You know,
this league is going to move on. It’s next man up. You saw last week, I went down, T-Rapp [S Taylor
Rapp] came in the game, and today Matt goes down and T-Dod [LB Tyrel Dodson] comes in the game.
It’s really unfortunate. That’s the game we play. It’s tough. But you know we are praying for those guys.
Q. Everybody says next man up but a guy like Kaair [CB Kaair Elam], what’s it like for him and what
was it like, did you see, obviously playing with him today?
MICAH HYDE: I think ultimately it’s his job to go out there and perform, and it’s our job to get those guys
lined up and giving them confidence to go out there and play well. So you know, I feel like he stepped in
and did a good job. Could he have made some better plays? Yeah. I could have, also. It’s a game we are
all going to learn from and bounce back next week.
Q. What did you see out there from AJ [DE AJ Epenesa]?

JORDAN POYER: Just continuing to ball, man. He’s been playing well for us, and he’s going to continue to
play well for us. Seems like he gets his hand on balls every single week. But yeah, I mean, he’s just a great
player, and you know, it’s really cool to see him grow from year one, this is I think year three or four for
him and on and off the field, his growth, and I’m excited to see him help this defense and help this team
win football games.
Q. I realize it’s next man up, the defense moving a guy like that, all that he does the ground that he
covers out there, can you describe the impact, what do you miss as a unit when he’s not in?
MICAH HYDE: It’s going on seven years of experience playing together. Obviously guys have been in and
out of the lineup with Davis and myself throughout these seven years. But that’s a lot of snaps we’ve
played together, communication-wise, knowing the defense, same defense. So you know, he’s out there
playing fast and he’s able to play fast. So you know, you can talk about next man up, next man up, it
does hurt for sure. All-Pro Lineman, that’s what we call him because he’s sideline-to-sideline making
plays on the ball, and you seen it the first five weeks of the season. We’ve just got to continue to give
the guys behind him confidence, and you know, that’s the only thing we can do at this point.
Q. Buried a little bit underneath everything that happened, [LB] Von Miller returns to the game. What
was that like?
MICAH HYDE: Huge, huge seeing him get ready, he gives a lot of guys confidence including myself.
Obviously he was out there playing on a pitch count. Can’t just throw him in the fire. He’s going to
continue to progress and we’re excited for that.

BILLS WIDE RECEIVER STEFON DIGGS
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

STEFON DIGGS: Yeah, slow start. Trying to get clicking, trying to figure it out. You know how it is in
certain games. Can’t attribute to anything other than execution on the offensive side of the ball. Pretty
much execution.
Q. Josh [QB Josh Allen] used the terms tempo and urgency early in the game. Didn’t really have a
sense of it or whatever. Did you feel that way?
STEFON DIGGS: A hundred percent. On the sideline, I went on the field and I was just echoing sense of
urgency, get out of the huddle. Let’s have that mindset. We have it in practice, and we try to build off of
it and in the game it’s supposed to be easier. You work hard in practice and the carryover is supposed to
be, all right, you go have fun now. I felt like we did — I’m not going to say lackadaisical, but we were kind
of like just not as, let’s go get it; let’s get after it, you know what I’m saying? We were trying to figure it
out. But that lack of sense of urgency, it showed, and then we get in that mode of not necessarily
rushing, but more like, okay we got a score, you saw that. So definitely something to learn from, and a
lot of things to learn from this.
Q. Is there anything that stands out to you about why that was? Why that sense of urgency wasn’t
there early?
STEFON DIGGS: You know, I can’t put words in anybody’s mouth or anything. Just as a unit, we echo it.
You know, that’s the standard. We didn’t play up to the standard, but I will say it’s a lot of things we can
learn from, from this, and we’ll grow from it.
Q. One follow to that. A lot of people questioned about the travel. You guys got in here Friday or
whatever, and Sean [Head Coach Sean McDermott] said that he’ll evaluate everything moving forward
if and when you come back over here again. Did that impact anything in your opinion?
STEFON DIGGS: I don’t know. Like, it’s easy to say that after the game. Like, if we won, what we would
have said, yeah, we were tired or yeah, we were this or, yeah, they were that. It’s easy to use an excuse.
I’m not a big excuse guy. I won’t say it. You’re going to have to ask the other guys. Tired or not,
whatever, you can get up to play a football game, you know what I’m saying? You can get up to do the
things that you love and play this game, you know, because it’s a blessing. Also, prayers for the guys who
got hurt. But I will never use the excuse — you can obviously look at the data or whatever, but I ain’t
really trying to hear that s***. I felt like we can play better and we must.
Q. The injury, what was it like for you guys as a team, seeing so many guys go down?
STEFON DIGGS: Team-wise, we don’t think about it, offense or defense or special teams. We all still one
unit. It’s tough to see guys get hurt. But flipside, I try to, you know, think about it. We do have depth and

we do have a lot of guys that can play football at a very high level. So when you go into that deep — the
depth that we do have, the defense that we do have, guys need to play well and step up, and it is still
the standard.
Q. North London was putting up blue jerseys of the Bills Mafia. How amazing were they? That
atmosphere was probably one of the most electric I’ve ever been a part of.
STEFON DIGGS: I gotcha that time. The Bills Mafia travels well. We trying to expand this thing and get
some fans over here. Everybody traveled well and everybody that showed up, they made a lot of noise
and it felt like it was still kind of a home game. It’s not like home-home, but it’s the second home. So it
was definitely still fun. Still a good atmosphere. I look forward to coming over here again and hopefully
we’ll have a different result.
Q. There was a moment between the third quarter and fourth quarter where you went out to talk to
the defense. What did you talk to them about?
STEFON DIGGS: Nothing. I don’t play defense. I just be on some positive energy. Let’s go, trying to be
there for my guys just because offense, you kind of get lost, you kind of lose sight of everything that’s
going on, on defense. You might watch them on the board a little bit. But you’re not that attentive. So
for me, I try to be there for my guys, give them some positive energy, a boost. You never know, a couple
extra claps, a couple extra yells, anything can happen.
Q. Two deep balls: You got one and they got the other; what did you see on those two plays?
STEFON DIGGS: My quarterback just gave me a chance, especially when I try to talk about the positives.
Second one he made a good play; you know what I’m saying? Like I try not to say anything other than he
made a good play; give him his respect, hell of a play. We are going to keep building off one. We hit one,
we didn’t, we miss one, but more so on me. I look at 50-50 balls like they are mine or nobody. I put it
more on my shoulders than anything. Keep betting on Josh [QB Josh Allen]. Josh going to give me a
chance to keep going and we keep building off it. We’ve had some success throughout the season, and
we are trying to grow from it and kind of look at it as a positive.
Q. From a league-wide standpoint and player preference, the turf out there today, what did you
think?
STEFON DIGGS: It was alright. That’s all I’m going to say.
Q. They also have a grass field. Would you prefer that?
STEFON DIGGS: You know, I live in the space of preference, it doesn’t matter, you know what I’m saying?
So whatever they give us to play on I’m going to play on, you know what I’m saying? Try not to speak too
much about inevitable.
Q. You alluded to the atmosphere. Do you have a message for the British fans that came out to see
you?

STEFON DIGGS: Keep coming out. Buy more red, white and blue. Saw a little bit of other jerseys, but I
appreciate y’all coming a lot of support. Football is fun. Get into it a little bit. Appreciate y’all.

BILLS LINEBACKER VON MILLER
MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023

VON MILLER: Like I said on Wednesday practicing in Buffalo, it just felt good to be back into motion. It’s
a great starting point for me and I can build on that for sure.
Q. What’s it like when you see [LB] Matt [Milano] go down, such an important piece?
VON MILLER: Yeah, it was tough. It was tough. I saw him in the blue tent. I was trying to check him out,
look in there and see if it was just minor. Thoughts and prayers go to Matt Milano for sure.
Q. Physically, how do you feel?
VON MILLER: I feel good. Just dipping my toe in the water, you know, and eventually, I’ll be able to swim
in the deep end with the big kids. But it felt good just being out there with my guys and being back in
motion is definitely something I can build on for sure.
Q. Were you given a specific number of plays today?
VON MILLER: I wasn’t sure, but I played a couple plays and I was done. It was smart, too. I got enough
reps in to build on that and get ready for the Giants next week.
Q. (On playing in London):
VON MILLER: I love coming here. In 2017, I spent like six weeks here all over the country. I love it here.
Been to some soccer games, and it was great to play in Tottenham Stadium in front of Englishmen. It
was a great atmosphere, not the result we wanted but a great atmosphere and great day for football.
I’m appreciative.
Q. In the last two weeks, you’ve lost Tre [White], Matt [Milano] and DaQuan [Jones], potentially for a
long time each. How does the defense overcome that?
VON MILLER: You just keep playing. We got a lot of depth on this team. We’ve done a good job of really
building the team up with quality players. You can’t replace DaQuan. You can’t replace Matt Milano. You
can’t replace Tre White. That’s just part of the game. It’s a terrible part of the game, you know to get
injuries and especially serious injuries. You’ve just got to keep moving. I know it sounds cliché but it’s
really the only thing that I can do. It’s going to suck losing those guys but we’ve got to keep taking one
step at a time.
Q. What did you see from [DE] AJ [Epenesa] out there?

VON MILLER: AJ went crazy. He went crazy the last game before versus the Dolphins. Definitely not
surprised. We see it every day in practice. He’s an incredible player. I’m definitely not satisfied, either.
He has a lot more to go. He has a lot more big-time plays to show everybody. But everything that he’s
done in the game, we’ve seen in practice. He’s an incredible player, big-time defensive end for sure.
Q. You say you’re not surprised. What are some of the things he [DE AJ Epenesa] does enabling him to
have these games?
VON MILLER: He practices hard. He’s got a basketball background. So he’s able to knock down passes,
he’s able to track the balls super easy. He’s just a big-time player. He’s an incredible defensive end. I
think all the physical attributes are just regular things. I think his intelligence really stands out for me.
He’s so smart. He’s so intelligent. He knows rush moves. He knows rush angles. He definitely knows how
to play football. He’s a big-time defensive end for sure.
Q. In the end, did you feel like a team with the defense overall?
VON MILLER: We are built for games like this. We practice hard. We condition hard as well. Just slipped
away from us.
Q. Do you think you could have had an effect on the game without the pitch count? You didn’t play in
the fourth quarter, I don’t think, and the defense struggled on third downs.
VON MILLER: As a competitor, I always I feel like I can do more, but it was just the smart call. I just
dipped my toe in there and was able to swim, and eventually I’ll be able to swim with the big kids in the
deep end for sure.
Q. What can we expect from you this season? Can you be the spark to this defense?
VON MILLER: If you’re asking me, one hundred percent, that’s what I’ve been doing my whole entire
career. This is just a starting point. I felt good going out there. I definitely felt like I could have did more.
Definitely felt like I wasn’t all the way there yet but I feel like it was a great starting point for me, and I
just continue to build, and most likely definitely I’ll be able to be the player that I’ve been in the past for
sure.
Q. (On seeing former teammates after the game):
VON MILLER: Yeah, I did. It was tough. After losses, especially, your buddy like that but that’s the right
thing to do is go over there and talk to my guy. I wanted to run in and not say anything but that’s my
brother. No matter how much it sucked, family first and we have a really, really long history and had to
go over there and chop it up with him. He gave me a kiss on the cheek. We had switched jerseys. He
gave me a kiss on the cheek which is a little bit — it rubbed it in a little bit but it’s all good. That’s my guy,
and we’ll definitely see those guys again in the future for sure.
Q. What do you think of the Bills Mafia?
VON MILLER: Bills Mafia is incredible. Doesn’t matter if it’s the United States or London. Even if we
played in Madagascar, I feel like we would have had that type of crowd for sure. Bills Mafia, we travel

well and we have incredible fans and it was definitely refreshing to see so many bills Mafia fans here
today. Thanks, guys, appreciate you.

Even if we
