JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Today the Jacksonville Jaguars kicked off a yearlong celebration of the team’s 25th season with the debut of a new logo to be featured exclusively throughout the 2019 season. Jaguars Owner Shad Khan unveiled the logo at the team’s annual State of the Franchise presentation today at TIAA Bank Field. Jaguars fans will begin to see the logo throughout Northeast Florida this week as the team launches a comprehensive, yearlong celebration of this milestone. The new mark will also appear on one-of-a-kind 25th season merchandise, the playing surface of TIAA Bank Field, stadium signage and across the Jaguars’ digital network.
The logo integrates four distinct elements designed to celebrate the team and its relationship with the Jacksonville community.
The Shield:
The celebratory mark is anchored by a shield encasing the Jaguars mark, the City of Jacksonville skyline and the stylized number 25. The shield is also a nod to Jacksonville’s deep military traditions and the Jaguars’ longstanding support of both active duty and veteran personnel. It represents the strength and resiliency of this franchise, which continues to push forward in its pursuit of becoming a championship football team.
25:
The number 25 rises above the City of Jacksonville skyline, symbolizing the dawn of the next era of Jaguars football. It is displayed prominently in the team’s proprietary font, Jaguars Newer Bold, which is a modern twist on classic block letters. It represents the convergence of the Jaguars’ respect for tradition and progression that drives the team to push the boundaries of innovation, both on and off the field.
The Skyline:
More than 25 years ago, the Jaguars were born thanks to the passion of the hardworking citizens of this community who willed the franchise into existence. The iconic skyline celebrates DUUUVAL and the fans who inspire and motivate our team on a daily basis.
Teal:
The sky full of teal represents game day in Jacksonville when the city is awash in painted faces, rally towels and car flags as fans make their way to TIAA Bank Field. A mixture of blue sky and ocean waves, teal is the unique signature color of the Jaguars and a key part of team’s uniforms since the inaugural season.
