Jaguars Sign Three Players To Contract Extensions

JACKSONVILLE The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed OL Ezra Cleveland, S Daniel Thomas and DL Jeremiah Ledbetter to contract extensions, the team announced today.

Cleveland was originally acquired by Jacksonville via a trade with Minnesota on Oct. 31 last year. In 2023, he participated in nine games with six starts for Jacksonville, after starting six games for Minnesota. The Spanaway, Wash. native spent the first three seasons of his career with Minnesota and has played in 62 games with 54 starts in his four-year career.

Originally from Montgomery, Ala., Thomas was drafted by Jacksonville in the fifth round (157th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. In four seasons with the Jaguars, he has played in 56 games and has recorded 43 total tackles (31 solo), two passes defensed and one interception. Thomas has also posted 18 total tackles (14 solo) on special teams.

Ledbetter was originally drafted in the sixth round (205th overall) by the Detroit Lions in the 2017 NFL Draft, where he played in 16 games. He has spent time with Tampa Bay, Baltimore and Arizona, playing in four games from 2018-2020. In 2021, Ledbetter signed to Jacksonville’s practice squad before signing to the active roster in December 2022. In his career, the Gainesville, Ga. native has recorded 42 total tackles (16 solo), eight quarterback hits, two tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery.
