JAGUARS PARTNER WITH ALERT TODAY FLORIDA FOR BIKE TO SCHOOL DAY

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – The Jacksonville Jaguars join forces with Alert Today Florida, Safe Routes to School and the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida to host Bike to School Day on Wednesday, May 8. In celebration of National Bike to School Day, NASCAR driver Scott Lagasse Jr. will join Jaguars alumni, Mike Hollis,Jaxson de Ville, THE ROAR of the Jaguars and a group of Duncan U. Fletcher Middle School students in a ride to school to showcase the benefits of biking and walking to school.

At 8:45 a.m., the group will depart from Maple Street Biscuit Company (410 3rd St. N, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250) and proceed to Duncan U. Fletcher Middle School. Following the bicycle ride, Jaguars personnel will stay and greet arriving students at the front of school.

Bicyclists from across the United States will join together to celebrate National Bike to School Day. Bike to School events work to create safer routes for bicycling and walking and emphasize the importance of increasing physical activity among children, cyclist and pedestrian safety, traffic congestion, concern for the environment and building connections between families, schools and the broader community.
