(On CB Tyson Campbell’s injury update) “He’s doing better, he’s progressing. Probably a long shot for this
game at this point.”
(On if facing another divisional opponent next week factor into anything for this week) “No, no. We’re
focused on this game in the moment, stay in the moment and in our business, you worry about next
week, next week.”
(On how the players have responded this week to Sunday’s loss) “Obviously, nothing out of the ordinary.
Maybe a little more attentive, a little more focused. I just think it’s because of the way we played. You’re
only as good as your last game. They understand that and that wasn’t very good. You don’t have to say a
lot as a coach, they just understand that when you play bad, you’ve got six or seven days before you go
again. You’ve got a lot of time to think about it.”
(On if he can learn a lot about how the team responds to a loss) “Certainly. It’s just that, how you
respond, good or bad. Our history together has been good after games of that nature, but we’ve got a
good Tennessee team coming in here. It’s one of those that you don’t worry about records, it’s a matter
of just execution and we’ve got to execute better.”
(On if he taught anything to the younger players about the Titans rivalry) “I need to express to the
players not to leak information to you guys. No, I did not.”
(On if frequent quarterback injuries this season in the NFL are a fluke) “It’s not a fluke. Defensive rushers
are getting faster, leaner, quicker. I also think you’re seeing injuries at offensive line, so you’re playing
sometimes your second, third or even fourth guy that doesn’t have, and it’s nothing against them, they
just don’t have that experience obviously. We know it’s a violent sport, we try to do everything we can
by rule, number one, and by protection to protect the quarterback. Sometimes they’re going to be
exposed, especially when they’re runners or they’re mobile and can move around. You don’t ever want
to see it, it can definitely affect your team moving forward.”
(On if he’d like to see any more to protect QB Trevor Lawrence) “Listen, this is football. Of course, I
played and we grew up in a generation where there was less restrictions on quarterbacks. The hits and
different things. I think we’re maxed on the amount of rules on hits on quarterbacks. I think we can
maybe use help, meaning if there’s cameras in stadiums and things, replays and all that, that’s for
another discussion. I think there’s enough in place right now, you still have to go play.”
(On any value in shaking up preparation a bit this week) “It’s one loss. We are five out of six in our last six
games. I’m a big believer too, you just don’t change to change or shake something up to shake
something up. I just think it’s each person, it’s each man, it’s each coach doing their jobs better. I need to

do my job better in preparing the football team. I’ll do it if I had to, but I just don’t think in this case,
anything like that needs to be done.”
(On opportunity for CB Greg Junior in this weekend’s game) “It’s good for him, it’s good for Montaric [CB
Montaric Brown], it’s a great opportunity for him. I think both of those guys now have played, Greg last
week had a chance to go in for Tyson [CB Tyson Campbell] and Montaric coming back in and getting
another opportunity. So, a lot of confidence with those two guys as they keep growing with the defense.
As your backup guys play more, it gives you a little more depth, a little more confidence, not only us in
them, but them in their preparation to play.”
