Jaguars Make Roster Moves

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed rookie OL Ka’John Armstrong, ninth-year OL Ben Ijalana and first-year TE Ethan Wolf. To make room on the roster, the Jaguars waived OL Jordan Agasiva and OL Andrew Lauderdale, and released RB Benny Cunningham(hamstring) via injury settlement. The Jaguars currently have 90 players on their active roster.

Armstrong, 6-5, 300, played in 39 games at Eastern Michigan, including 13 games as a redshirt senior in 2018. In 2016, he played in 13 games, starting nine games at left guard as part of an offense that gained a school-record 5,917 yards. He attended Loyola (Detroit, Mich.) High School and earned all-state honors as a senior. Armstrong participated in the Cleveland Browns’ 2019 rookie minicamp and the beginning of their training camp. Armstrong will wear No. 67.

Ijalana, 6-4, 322, has appeared in 34 games in his NFL career in stints with the New York Jets (2013-18) and the Indianapolis Colts (2011-12). He played in a career-high 16 games in 2016, making eight starts at left tackle and five starts at right tackle. Originally a second-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft (49th overall), Ijalana started all 53 games of his Villanova career and helped the Wildcats to a 40-13 record, three NCAA playoff appearances and the 2009 FCS National Championship. He graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional (Mount Valley, N.J.) High School, where he was a two-way lineman and district champion in wrestling. Ijalana will wear No. 66.

Wolf, 6-5, 255, spent time on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad in 2018 and the beginning of the 2019 training camp with the Carolina Panthers. He played four seasons at the University of Tennessee (2014-17) and totaled 998 career receiving yards and seven TDs on 91 receptions, finishing second in school history for receptions by a TE. He attended Minister (Ohio) High School and hauled in 41 receptions for 475 yards and five receiving TDs. Wolf will wear No. 46.
