| JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have extended OL Tyler Shatley’s contract, the team announced today. Shatley, 6-3, 305, has appeared in 111 games and made 33 starts during his eight-year career in Jacksonville. He was one of three undrafted rookies to make the opening day roster in 2014 and has played in all the team’s regular season games during five seasons, including in 2021. Shatley started at center in eight games last season. In 2020, he was part of an offensive line that helped rookie RB James Robinson tally the most scrimmage yards (1,414) and the second-most rushing yards (1,070), by an undrafted rookie in NFL history. The former Clemson Tiger began his career as a fullback in college, before moving to the defensive line in 2010 and offensive line in the spring of 2012. He attended East Burke (Icard, N.C.) High School, where he was the No. 3-rated fullback in the nation and was the team’s punter. A native of Icard, N.C., he and his wife, Natalie, have a son, Boone and a daughter, Sutton. ### |
