(On how he feels he fits in the Jacksonville Jaguars defense) “I feel like I’ll fit well in here. I mean I feel like I finally joined a team and I’m really blessed to be there. Really there is nothing else I can really say.”

(On whether he was surprised about this spot and where he landed) “I really didn’t know, but I’m just blessed to be here.”

(On what he thinks his strengths are as a run stopper and nose tackle) “I’m able to get penetration, I’m able to create disruption in the backfield.”

(On what Coach Doug Marrone and General Manager Dave Caldwell said they see as his role with the Jaguars) “They didn’t really give me much. I mean they just told me to be ready to come down and try to contribute as much as possible.”

(On his last year playing and showing the impact he could make) “Honestly my last year wasn’t even based on me going out there and trying to play for the next level. It was more so me trying to play for my team at the time.”

(On what Ohio State Defensive Line Coach Larry Johnson meant to him) “He means a lot to me. I mean he’s helped me from the day I got on campus, to where I’m at right now.  And he’s really just pushed me and motivated me as much as possible to be able to be at this point in my life. And he’s as blessed as I am right now.”

(On his meetings with the Jaguars prior to the draft) “Honestly, I think I probably talked to them probably twice the whole time I was at both the Senior Bowl and the Combine. I mean, honestly, I’m just excited to be there. It’s been a dream come true and I can’t wait to get to work.”

(On if the Jaguars said anything that made him think they would take him) “Honestly, no. I didn’t get any inquiry, any message or anything just kind of random but, I mean, I’m just glad to be here.”

(On rising to the occasion based on his stats at Ohio State) “I feel like I always have, but, I mean, I just try to create as much disruption in the back as possible, you know, without the tackle or the sack or anything. I mean, that’s just what was my role at Ohio State and now hopefully I can continue that in the league.”

(On the biggest strides made as a player from a technical standpoint) “Just really knowing how the game of football works, being smart on and off the field, and trying to improve on your skillset every single day.”

(On how he feels about making the adjustment to quickly learn to play in the NFL) “Honestly all I can say is that I’m excited for it, to be able to learn and be able to play in the NFL and just be able to contribute to my team.”

(On how he sees his role on the field and if it’s about creating plays for other people.) “I’m doing whatever it takes and whatever the team needs me to do. Honestly, I really could care less what I was supposed to do as long as I’m able to add value to the team.”
