Jaguars Announce New Partnership with Sharpie

Sharpie to serve as the “Official Marker of the Jacksonville Jaguars”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars today announced a new partnership with Sharpie®, the “Official Marker of the Jacksonville Jaguars.”  Sharpie products will be used for all player contract signing and autograph sessions.  Fans will also have the chance to use Sharpie markers and pens to demonstrate their creativity and fandom all season long.  

“Sharpie is a great brand that is synonymous with signature moments. One of the most unique experiences for our fans is the chance to get an autograph from a Jaguars player, past or present,” said Scott Massey, the team’s senior vice president of corporate partnerships.  “We’re thrilled to welcome Sharpie to the Jaguars family during our 25th anniversary season, and excited to give our fans the chance to make a personal statement about their Jaguars pride.”

The Jaguars’ partnership with Sharpie kicked off earlier this summer with the unveiling of the Jaguars All-25 presented by Sharpie.  Jaguars All-25 is a collection of the top 25 non-active players in franchise history, as voted on by members of the local media.  Honorees were recognized daily via the team’s social media accounts, counting down from No. 25 to the No. 1 player in team history, LT Tony Boselli. Fans can view highlights reels of their favorite alumni at www.jaguars.com/all25.  Members of the Jaguars All-25 presented by Sharpie will be recognized as a group at halftime of the Jaguars’ homecoming game on October 13 at TIAA Bank Field. 

New this season, and all season long, Jaguars fans can send a message to their favorite player on game day when they visit the Sharpie display located in the Fan Entertainment Zone between Gates 1 and 4.  There, they can showcase their artistic skills using Sharpie markers to design posters to display during the game. 

“Over the years, Sharpie has become the go-to marker for athletes when engaging with their fans, but for the Jaguars’ 25th anniversary season, we are bringing something new to the stadium,” says Geoffrey Feil, President Writing – North America at Newell Brands. “We are providing Jaguars fans the opportunity to be an active part of this historic anniversary season by expressing passion and pride for their team on game day.”

Additionally, Sharpie will host “Letters to Soldiers” during the Jaguars’ annual Salute to Service week in November, allowing Jaguars players and front office personnel to send messages of support to active-duty military serving overseas.  Fans will also get the chance to send letters to soldiers during the Jaguars’ Week 13 game against Tampa Bay on Sunday, Dec. 1.

In addition, the Jaguars preseason broadcasts will feature the Sharpie “Make it Matter” segment during which the broadcast team will monitor one player multiple times during the game for an in-depth look at his contributions to the team.
