Jacob deGrom of the New York Mets named the National League Pitcher of the Month for June; Sean Manaea of the Oakland Athletics named the American League Pitcher of the Month for June

Two-time NL Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom of the New York Mets has been voted the National League Pitcher of the Month for June, and Sean Manaea of the Oakland Athletics has been named the American League Pitcher of the Month for June. The announcements were made earlier today on MLB Network.

deGrom earned his second career NL Pitcher of the Month Award, following his honor earlier this season in April. Jacob is the first Mets pitcher since the award was introduced in 1974 to claim multiple awards in the same season. Manaea similarly claimed his second career AL Pitcher of the Month Award, previously doing so in April 2018, and is the first A’s winner since his rotation-mate Chris Bassitt in September 2020.
