Sunday, Sept. 29 // Regular Season Week 4

COMEBACK CATS: The Jaguars trailed by 14 points (17-3) after a Broncos made FG with 4:16 remaining in the second quarter. The 14-point come-from-behind victory was tied for the third-largest in franchise history. On the final drive, trailing 24-23, the Jaguars drove the ball 60 yards in eight plays and K Josh Lamboconverted a 33-yard FG as time expired to win the game, 26-24.

FOURNETTE THE FREIGHT TRAIN: Third-year RB Leonard Fournette finished the game with 29 rushes for 225 yards, including an 81-yard rush. Fournette’s 225 rushing yards were a career-high and the second-most in franchise history (Fred Taylor – 234 on Nov. 19, 2000 at Pittsburgh). Fournette’s 81-yard scamper was the second-longest run in franchise history. He owns the record with a 90-yard run against the Steelers on Oct. 8, 2017. Fournette became the first Jaguars rusher with 100-plus yards since he achieved the feat on Dec. 10, 2017 against Seattles. Fournette now leads the AFC and ranks third in the NFL with 404 rushing yards on 72 carries (5.6 rush avg.). Fournette’s 404 rushing yards are the most ever by a Jaguars RB through the team’s first four games of the season. Fournette now joins Titans RB Derrick Henry as the only two players in the NFL to rush for at least 225 yards in a game over the last three seasons. Fournette also added 20 receiving yards, and his 245 scrimmage yards were the third-most in a single game in franchise history.

MINSHEW MANIA CONTINUES: Rookie QB Gardner Minshew II completed 19 of 33 passes for 213 yards and two TDs and finished today’s game with a 97.2 passer rating. Through four games, Minshew has completed 84 of 121 passes (69.4 comp. pct.) for 905 yards, seven TDs and one INT for a passer rating of 106.9. Minshew has now set a franchise record with four consecutive games throwing for at least 200 yards with a passer rating of 95.0-plus. Minshew is also the only rookie in franchise history to throw for at least 900 yards through Week 4. Today’s game marked the first come-from-behind game-winning drive of Minshew’s career.

OPENING DRIVE OF THE SECOND HALF: Coming out of halftime, the Jaguars authored a 16-play, 75-yard TD drive that culminated with a TD pass from rookie QB Gardner Minshew II to rookie RB Ryquell Armstead. RB Leonard Fournettetotaled 49 rushing yards on the drive, which included five runs of at least 5 yards (13, 8, 6, 6, 5). The drive elapsed 10:24 of game clock and was the fifth-longest drive by game clock in franchise history.

LAMBO LEGEND: Fifth-year K Josh Lambo converted a 25-yard FG in the first quarter, a 40-yard FG with eight seconds remaining in the second quarter, a 34-yard FG with 2:54 remaining in the fourth quarter and the game-winning 33-yard FG as time expired. Lambo has now made 48 of 51 FG attempts with the Jaguars since he signed with the team on Oct. 17, 2017. Overall, his 94.1 FG pct. is the highest in franchise history (min. 10 FGA).

RUNNING IT BACK RONNIE: Second-year S Ronnie Harrison intercepted Broncos QB Joe Flacco late in the second quarter and returned it 32 yards. The pick marked Harrison’s second career INT, and marked Jacksonville’s first defensive takeaway of the 2019 season.

STREAK ENDER: Today’s win marked the Jaguars’ first victory in the Mountain or Pacific Time zones in their last 12 tries, and the first since a victory over Denver on Oct. 12, 2008 (24-17).
