Club confirms set of friendlies in preparation for 2023 campaign;
Team to report on Jan. 6 for medicals, first practice set for Jan. 9, will play first friendly on Jan. 21;
Special fan-facing event set for Saturday, Feb. 18, additional details to be announced
MIAMI (December 27, 2022) – Following the recently announced 2023 Major League Soccer (MLS) schedule, Inter Miami CF released details of its upcoming preseason preparations as the team looks to build on its strongest campaign yet.
“We’re excited to get started again and can’t wait to see our incredible fans,” said head coach Phil Neville. “We’re going to fight to build on what we did last season and that begins with the first kick of preseason in January.”
Fans will get a chance to see the team in action for the first time in 2023 when it hosts CR Vasco de Gama, one of Brazil’s most successful teams, at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. ET. Additionally, fans should stay tuned for an exciting fan-facing event set for Saturday, Feb. 18 at DRV PNK Stadium that will include a friendly to conclude the team’s preseason; the opponent for the match and additional details will be announced at a later date.
Inter Miami will report back to the Florida Blue Training Center on Friday, Jan. 6 for team medicals and will officially kick off its six-week preseason training camp on Monday, Jan. 9. The Club will spend the majority of preseason in South Florida, training at its state-of-the-art Florida Blue Training Center and playing six friendlies at home; the team will also travel to Sarasota, Fla. for one preseason match. Inter Miami has announced the opponents to face in the first portion of its preseason: Vasco de Gama, Florida International University, Saint Louis CITY SC and New England Revolution. The remaining opponents will be announced at a later date.
