Inter Miami will play host to the Canadian team starting this April
MIAMI (March 8, 2021) — CF Montreal announced Monday that the team will make Inter Miami CF Stadium and Training Center its home for the start of the 2021 MLS season.
The Eastern Conference team will travel to the United States on April 6 ahead of the league-wide season kickoff on April 17.
“I want to thank Inter Miami CF for welcoming us. Just like in New Jersey last year with the Red Bulls, we will have access to top infrastructures and favorable weather, which made us choose Florida,” said CF Montréal Sporting Director Olivier Renard. “Once again, it will be a very special situation and we want our players to be in the best possible conditions before coming back to play in Montreal. We will do everything in our power to allow the players and the staff to be joined by their families so they can feel good while they are away from home.”
CF Montréal will play and train at Inter Miami’s 32-acre facilities, inclusive of an 18,000-capacity stadium and a 50,000-square-foot training center with six grass fields and one turf field.
“Montreal and all of our Canadian teams are in a very difficult situation, and we are looking forward to doing everything possible to make this transition as seamless as possible,” added Inter Miami CF Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson. “We are blessed with great facilities and staff members who are ready to support.”
Both Montreal and Inter Miami will follow strict health and security protocols, including COVID-19 screening and testing on a regular basis. Both teams will have their own training fields, locker rooms, parking areas and entrance points into the facilities during this transitional period.
Montreal will continue to monitor public health and government directives as they look at opportunities to return to play in their own home market on an ongoing basis.
MLS will announce the full 2021 regular season schedule at a later date.

MIAMI (8 de marzo de 2021) – CF Montreal anunció el lunes que el equipo iniciará la temporada 2021 de la MLS en el Inter Miami CF Stadium and Training Center.
El equipo que forma parte de la Conferencia Este viajará a los Estados Unidos el 6 de abril previo al comienzo de la temporada el 17 de abril.
“Quiero agradecer a Inter Miami por darnos la bienvenida. Al igual que en New Jersey con los Red Bulls el año pasado, tendremos acceso a infraestructura de primer nivel y a clima favorable, lo que hizo que eligiéramos la Florida”, dijo el Sporting Director de CF Montreal Olivier Renard . “Una vez más, será algo especial y queremos que nuestros jugadores estén en las mejores condiciones antes de regresar a jugar en Montreal. Haremos todo lo que esté en nuestro poder para permitir que los jugadores y el personal puedan estar junto a sus familias para que se sientan a gusto mientras están lejos de casa”.
CF Montreal jugará sus partidos y entrenará en las instalaciones con tamaño de 32 hectáreas, la cual cuenta con un estadio con capacidad para 18,000 espectadores y un centro de entrenamiento de 50,000 pies cuadrados con seis campos de césped y uno de césped artificial.
“Montreal y todos nuestros equipos canadienses se encuentran en una situación muy complicada y estamos encantados de hacer todo lo posible para que su transición sea tan fluida como sea posible”, añadió el Chief Soccer Officer y Sporting Director de Inter Miami CF Chris Henderson. “Es una gran bendición tener estas instalaciones fantásticas para poder apoyarlos en lo que necesiten.”
Tanto Montreal como Inter Miami cumplirán con protocolos estrictos de salud y seguridad, incluyendo métodos de detección y pruebas de COVID-19 que se llevarán a cabo regularmente. Ambos equipos tendrán sus propios campos de entrenamientos, vestuarios, áreas para estacionar y puntos de acceso a las instalaciones durante este periodo de transición.
Montreal continuará monitoreando las direcciones gubernamentales y de salud pública mientras que siguen analizando oportunidades para poder regresar a su mercado local.
La MLS anunciará el calendario completo de la temporada regular 2021 en una fecha posterior.
