Holmatro and ESI Equipment Join IMSA Partner Family
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 17, 2020) – Today IMSA announced two new Proud Supplier relationships including Holmatro, and their extrication equipment, as well as a separate relationship with ESI Equipment, supplier of fire suppression equipment. In addition to enhancing on-track safety, both Holmatro and ESI Equipment gain exposure within the IMSA paddock and business-to-business opportunities with IMSA racetracks and other stakeholders.
“Safety is a top IMSA priority,” said David Pettit, IMSA Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Operations. “We have an expert AMR Safety Team that now has an expanded toolbox with advanced equipment and services from Holmatro and ESI. Both companies are considered leaders in their industries and we are proud to be associated with them.”

Holmatro, a hydraulic rescue tool manufacturer located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, is IMSA’s most recent new Proud Supplier. Founded in The Netherlands in 1967, Holmatro manufacturers hydraulic rescue, industrial and special tactics equipment around the world and has done so for more than 50 years. Holmatro’s rescue equipment will assist in any efforts to extricate drivers quickly and safely from their race cars following a serious incident.
Holmatro adds IMSA to its list of motorsports partners that also include the FIA and IndyCar Series, with additional support for the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course safety team.
“Holmatro has a long history in motorsports safety, and in fact over the years Holmatro tools have played a part in the rescue of several drivers,” said Tony Barboza, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Holmatro, Inc. “As the biggest supplier of extrication equipment to motorsports safety teams, we’re proud of our new partnership with the IMSA safety team and look forward to supporting them in their mission of proving safety for the drivers in all of their events.”

ESI EQUIPMENT
ESI Equipment, one of the largest full-service dealers in North America for vehicle rescue equipment, has also joined as a Proud Supplier. ESI is coincidentally a Holmatro-certified dealer, amongst providing an array of vehicle rescue equipment from other manufactures. ESI offers products to consumers, but also provides key services such as equipment installations and training programs.
Specifically for IMSA, ESI will supply Enforcer 30 Compressed Air Foam Systems on IMSA’s two Chevrolet safety trucks, in addition to Fluorine Free FireAde Foam to aid in extinguishing any fires that should occur during on-track incidents.
“ESI has been supporting the safety services on tracks for a long time,” said ESI President John Evans. “We are thrilled to provide these resources to the IMSA team to better their capabilities on track. ESI has proven the Enforcer FireAde suppression abilities both on the street and on the track over the past three years with great success. These systems prove themselves.”
