INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State extended its winning streak to nine games and Northern Kentucky earned a road win at Indiana State to highlight this week’s #HLWBB competition.

#HLWBB NEWS & NOTES

• Cleveland State’s nine straight wins has tied its program record for consecutive wins, which was last set during the 1982-83 campaign. Vikings are atop the League individual leaderboard in three categories as Mariah Miller is first in points per game (21.9) and Mariah White leads in assists per game (4.2) and steals per game (4.1). Miller is ninth nationally in points per game and White is fourth in steals per game among Division I players.

• Preseason Player of the Year IUPUI’s Macee Williams leads #HLWBB with 9.0 rebounds per game and a .535 field goal percentage.

• Green Bay’s Lyndsey Robson tops qualifying League players with a 2.2 assist-turnover ratio this season.

• Wright State’s Angel Baker is averaging 35.2 minutes per game this season, most among #HLWBB players.

• Northern Kentucky’s Ally Niece led the Norse with a season-high 19 points and eight assists in a road win at Indiana State on Tuesday.

• Oakland ranks 16th in the country in free-throw percentage as the Golden Grizzlies are shooting 78.5 percent from the charity stripe.

• UIC’s Jada Nneji tops the League leaderboard in blocks per game (2.9).

• Youngstown State’s Chelsea Olson tied for the team lead with 14 points and added five rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes at No. 12/15 Indiana on Sunday. She was 5-for-9 from the field, 2-for-4 from 3-point range and 2-for-3 from the free-throw line.

Mariah Miller helped Cleveland State pick up its ninth straight win with a 79-66 decision at Omaha, improving to 9-1 this season. The 9-1 start to the campaign is a program-best, while the nine straight wins ties the program record for consecutive wins. She finished with a team-high 18 points against Omaha, marking her ninth 15+ point game of the year and also grabbed five rebounds, one block and one steal on the game. For the season, she is averaging 21.9 points which leads the Horizon League.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK | BRIDGID FOX | DETROIT MERCY | FRESHMAN | FORWARD | ALTOONA, PA.

Bridgid Fox nearly had her first career double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds in a home contest against Toledo on Saturday. Fox’s 14 points and nine rebounds were both career highs and she shot 54 percent from the floor (6-for-11) in the game. Five of her rebounds were on the offensive end and she also had two assists and one block in her second career start. It was her second career double figure scoring effort in her first 10 collegiate games.
