High Holiday Services Services to be “Streamed” at no charge

Temple Anshei Shalom, Delray Beach’s Conservative Synagogue, will be “Streaming” the Jewish High Holiday services: Rosh Hashanah Saturday evening September 18th through Monday, September 20th. Yom Kippur Sunday evening September 27th through Monday, September 28th.

The synagogue will be joining the ranks of many congregations throughout the country using modern technology. To overcome the lack of in-person High Holiday services the services will be available to the entire community at no charge.

While traditional High Holiday services will be modified to reflect the new reality, Temple Anshei Shalom renowned spiritual leader Rabbi Raphael Adler believes services can and will be beautiful, inspiring and meaningful. “The prayers, concepts and spiritual uplift… the confession of sins… the commitment to improve our relationships with others… and of course, Yizkor…” all will be included in this new format.

Temple Anshei Shalom Cantor Cesar Beleniski will likewise perform much of the liturgical music associated with Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Congregants are excited about the ability to continue a lifelong observance of the holidays. Jack Bushinsky stated, “We are very wise in not opening and staying safe. I am looking forward to a moving service and I don’t see why this won’t be enjoyable and spiritual for all”. Rhoda Black added, “This is a wonderful way to observe the holidays and is so much better than the alternative. I am anxious to see our Rabbi and Cantor lead us in our prayers”.

The synagogue will be providing instructions to anyone requiring help in logging on to the video feed.
