X’s & BrO’s with Anthony Bellino and The Huge Show with Bill Simonson Now On The ROAR, Motor City Sports Talk, 93.5 FM and 99.1 FM

DETROIT – Michigan’s most popular sports talk shows, X’s & BrO’s with Anthony Bellino and The Huge Show with Bill Simonson are now available to Detroit metro listeners on the FM dial via The ROAR Motor City Sports Talk, 93.5 FM and 99.1 FM.

“We’re making radio history again and look forward to many more years of success with our partners,” said Marty Booher, president of MSN. “More Michigan sports fans can start their day with us at 6 a.m. and end their day with us at 6 p.m. That means MSN has your “6” covered on the FM dial with greater listening capabilities and great new partners.”

The X’s and Bro’s Morning Show from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. with Anthony Bellino starts your mornings by breaking down the biggest Michigan sports stories of the day. Anthony’s Michigan sports insider knowledge and access – when he is not on the air he is a voice for the University of Michigan sports department and the Detroit Lions –  make X’s and Bro’s must-hear radio for Michigan sports fans every weekday morning.

Live across Michigan every weekday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., The Huge Show delivers huge opinions and big name guests from the world of Michigan sports. Hosted by Bill Simonson for nearly two decades, The Huge Show pulls no punches when it comes to opinions and commentary about Michigan sports teams, both professional and college.

“As a Michigan native and lifelong Detroit sports fan, the opportunity to be on the airwaves in Metro Detroit means the world to me,” Bellino said.

“It’s been a personal and professional goal of mine for a very long time and it’s a blessing to see this all come together on the FM dial. I can’t wait to build those relationships with the audience that only radio can in the hope to provide that informative, intelligent, and entertaining program for the Detroit sports fan during their morning drive. The ROAR has an exciting lineup throughout the day and we’re excited to be a part of that!”

Simonson thinks it is a Huge move, too.

“The move to The ROAR means reaching a wider audience on the FM dial,” Simonson said. “It’s good for all the listeners in metro Detroit, our marketing partners, the charitable organizations we support and the community. The show hasn’t changed since I came on the air Sept. 23, 2001, and I’ll always offer my Huge opinions on Detroit’s teams, the state’s college teams, local, national and world-wide topics.”

MSN, in collaboration with Beasley Media Group, Woodward Sports and Sports Map Radio Network unveiled The ROAR, Motor City Sports Talk 93.5 FM and 99.1 FM this week. The stations will broadcast local and regional sports talk.

Beasley Detroit Market Manager Mac Edwards said: “There’s a new sports animal in the Motor City – The ROAR! We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Chad Johnson from Woodward Sports Network as well as Marty Booher at MSN and the crew at SportsMap Radio to deliver some of the most compelling sports content Motor City fans have ever experienced!”
