ACME, Mich., July 24, 2020 – Before the pros take the stage at the Turtle Creek Casino Michigan Open Championship, Grand Traverse Resort and Spa is excited to welcome all amateur golfers to the August 28-29 Turtle Creek Casino Michigan Open Pro-Am.
“Golf has been in full swing since the end of April,” said Tom McGee, director of golf operations at the Resort. “We are excited to offer two star events this summer; the Turtle Creek Casino Michigan Open Pro-Am and Turtle Creek Casino Michigan Open Championship. These two events are what golfers and fans are looking for after the unique spring and summer we’ve experienced.”
The Pro-Am teams will consist of four amateurs and one professional. A foursome costs $4,000 and includes two nights at the Resort, two 18-hole rounds of golf on The Wolverine and The Bear, meals, an opening night cocktail reception, and an awards banquet at Turtle Creek Casino. For local players, there is a $650/per person commuter rate available.
“This is the perfect event to precede the Turtle Creek Casino Michigan Open Championship and one of the only Pro-Ams happening this year,” said Kevin Helm, executive director of Michigan PGA. “As businesses begin to head back to work, companies can bring their associates to the Pro-Am to reconnect while enjoying the game of golf. Amateur golfers have the chance to experience one of the best courses in the state while playing with a pro.”
Registration for the Turtle Creek Casino Michigan Open Pro-Am closes August 7.
